My home is on a safe, quiet street, 2 miles to downtown and 1.5 to Presque Isle Park. There is a deck & backyard to enjoy. Please tell me an approx. arrival time, why you are coming to town and if you're bringing a (friendly, housebroken) dog. consider your total expense, not just the nightly rate. I do not charge extra for people or cleaning. I do NOT use e-mail, please use website. 2 night minimum on holiday weekends please. I appreciate it if you're vaccinated. NO cats (allergies) Thanks My guest room has a double bed. The house has central air . The bathroom is shared (with only me, it hasn't been a problem) I can be flexible on arrival time, but I do need to know an approximate time. I am in a great location. This is a very safe neighborhood. I am well versed in what is going on in and around town and frequently will be able to take you to what you want to see and do. I have a Jetpack for internet service, however, it is not unlimited or fast so please don't leave it on when you don't need it. There is a door between the kitchen and the sunroom. please do NOT lock it as it will then require a locksmith . there is no key. (FYI For Dog sensitive people-This is a dog friendly home. While I no longer have a dog, I occasionally dog-sit for a friend. I also welcome guests' polite dogs into my home with prior approval. If you are really sensitive to dog dander, you may want to consider another host. I ALWAYS CLEAN BEFORE GUESTS ARRIVE.) (allergic to cats, sorry) Unlike many hosts, I live here, so I will be in and out and around. You are welcome to enjoy my deck, put things in the frig, read my books... I have a Jetpack for internet service, however, it is not unlimited or fast. free on street parking. There is a door between the kitchen and the sunroom. please do not lock the door. there is no key and will require a locksmith for a substantial fee I live here so I will be in and out and around. I can usually be available to show you around or just tell you your many options, or just leave you on your own-as you wish. If you need anything, please let me know. This is my home. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. I'm on a quiet residential street with free on street parking. This really is the perfect location. 1.5 mile to Presque Isle for beaches, birding, boating, swimming, sunsets... and only minutes to downtown with the Maritime Museum and historic Flagship Niagara, (a war of 1812 battleship replica) the public dock, great restaurants, shops and breweries . There is a bike trail 1 1/2 blocks from here that goes downtown or to Presque Isle. Or just walk or bike in my great neighborhood, which is almost like a park. There are wineries just east of town. The public bus line runs along W. 6 St, only 1 1/2 blocks away. There is free parking right out front. It is a quick uber/taxi/bus ride from the airport or I can probably pick you up. There are lots of inexpensive things to do here. In Jan. we host the Erie Kennel Club dog show-a lot of the dogs go on to Westminster. February brings Ales for Sails-a fundraiser for a local sailing program at the Maritime Museum. March the zoo opens. April there is a microbrew beer festival at The Brewerie at Union Station. Memorial day weekend the beaches open, as well as Waldameer Amusement park-with a top-10 wooden coaster, and a nice water park . The library has a book sale with 70,000 books in June, and the Art Museum has a "Party on the Patio" July brings "8 Great Tuesdays"-free concerts at Liberty Park, a beautiful venue right on Presque Isle Bay. Also in July is Beer on the Bay-this is a fun outdoor beer tasting at Liberty Park. Also Discover Presque Isle is in July. There is a great, free, jazz and blues festival the first weekend in August at Frontier Park-walking distance from here. Same weekend is the Cyclefest (bicycle) Sept. is my favorite month. The weather is usually beautiful and kids are back in school. We have a large grape growing region. The wineries often have events going on. The Wine Country Harvest Festival is the last weekend in Sept. Fall foliage in Oct. is among the best in the north east The local art galleries are open Friday nights for "Gallery Night" one Friday a month, 5 times a year Of course this is just a partial list of things to do in the area.
