Horse ranch offers private room; trail rides avail

Our 5 acre ranch is just south of the airport. The room has a queen bed, closet and desk as well as a separate entrance and full bath. It is simple but functional. We have lots of friendly dogs, 2 cats and a ferret who are in and out during the day. There's even a wild Canada goose who has chosen to hang out. By day we offer the public an interactive petting animal experience and adventure pony rides. We also offer adult trail rides and be found at Desert Horse Adventures online. Short stays The space We have between 12 and 15 horses and ponies who are always in the pasture. You're welcome to help feed our free range chickens, a couple of Lionhead bunnies, 2 goats and of course the horses twice a day. A few clients and horse boarders may come by occasionally. There is not a lot of traffic here. We are the last place on the road so no one drives by. The room has its own entrance and small deck space. Some enjoy taking their meals on the large front deck viewing the horses. Guest access This is a double wide mobile. You can park right outside the three steps to your room. Your bathroom is right across from the bedroom door. During your stay I enjoy playing tour guide if you're interested. I often take guests on trail rides by horseback and have ranch rides available. Rates begin at $60 an hour. There is no expectation that you go riding. I've taken guests to Mexico even without a passport. I'm still in touch with guests who have become friends. If you'd like a fire under the starlight, we have lots of chairs, wood, marshmallow skewers and several fire pit options. We also have nice large deck for viewing the horses to the east and sunsets to the west. If you prefer to stay quietly on your own, I'm comfortable with that too. Other things to note PLEASE CALL to be sure you have proper directions. The dirt road leading to the house is 1/4 mile long but easy to drive; please go slowly. Every so often we flood irrigate so you may have to drive through several inches of water. We will know when water is coming. It's fun to see water in the ditches and pour onto our field. This is a working ranch with a good number of animals, chickens and goats making deposits here and there. Although we keep it picked up, you may find a pile of something we haven't gotten to yet. There are no adult roosters here but there are in the neighborhood as well as a donkey. YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN INTERNET. I do not have cable TV; this is a rest and relax kind of place or help with ranch chores. There is a DVD player for a large screen TV in the bedroom, and Redbox is available a few miles away. We prefer stays of 4 days-3 nights or less.
