A peaceful haven situated in a bush setting. The ideal place to use a base for visiting the Coromandel Peninsula. Walking, swimming, hiking and biking trails are all within easy reach. We love living here and sharing it with guests. The space A self contained studio apartment 2km north of Thames on the Coromandel Peninsula, North Island, New Zealand. Situated at the entrance to the Tararu Valley in a peaceful bush and unique garden setting we are three minutes walk to the beach. It is five minutes cycle to the start of the Hauraki Rail Trail and a bush walk starts on site. You can relax here or visit one of the many nearby attractions including mining and maori heritage sites. Come to our place for a holiday to remember. The upstairs bedroom had two queen sized and one single bed. The downstairs lounge area has one double sofa bed. All linen provided. There is a kitchen with fridge, coffee maker, microwave and double hot plate. We also have a BBQ, CD player and two TV's. There is also air conditioning. We are usually able to provide meals as required or restaurants and shops are a five minute drive away. A continental breakfast is available for an extra charge of $10 per person. Please note our pricing ($90) is for one person and each extra person is another $25 N.Z. so $115 for two people. Children are charged at the per person rate ($25) a night. A cycle trail, historic mining sites, beaches and museums are close by and there are many walking tracks in the Coromandel Forest Park. A popular day walk to the Pinnacles is a half hour drive away. Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach are and hour and a half away. There are local fishing charters for snapper, kahawai and kingfish. There is a bus service to Thames weekdays and pick-up can be arranged from the station. We offer friendly service and will do everything we can to cater for guests individual needs in our restful setting. Guest access The apartment is fully self contained and stands alone. Other things to note The peace and privacy offered by our Treehouse is what most guests seem to enjoy. Our large garden is also of interest to plant and tree lovers. We encourage guests to walk around the various paths.
