Kookaburra Cottage - Unplug and Unwind

The cottage is a modern 2 bedroom cabin with all the modern amenities including a well equiped kitchen, 2 large bedrooms with luxury bedding, modern bathroom, comfortable lounge room with AC. Outside is a large wrap around deck with direct access from both bedrooms, large table for entertaining, BBQ and a bar table which is the perfect position to sit with a morning coffee. There is also a large fire pit that you are free to use and cook on. The space Kookaburra Cottage is located within the Sandy Creek Retreat property which is a peaceful 115 acre property set within beautiful Australian bush land. Located only 90 minutes from Brisbane and 25 minutes from Woodford it is positioned to be the ultimate weekender with an abundance of wildlife including Kookaburras, red chested wallabies, Australian king parrots and red deer to name a few. Running along the property is Sandy Creek which provides many tranquil cascading rock pools and a large private swimming hole with a large space to enjoy a picnic. Please note; there is no phone reception and satellite wifi only so it is a place to unwind, get back to nature and relax. Guest access Guests will have access to the whole property. Other things to note Kookaburra Cottage has Satellite Wifi, that will provide phone reception and streaming access in the cabin, the rest of the property does not have phone reception. ** Please Note** The satellite wifi can be disrupted in poor weather (dense cloud cover, heavy rain, storms etc) The cabin is private however there is a road that is shared with a few other properties. So you may see some of our friendly neighbours driving through from time to time. MAPS are incorrect so please follow directions on our page. STRICTLY NO HUNTING OR SHOOTING ON THE PROPERTY, anyone caught shooting or hunting will have their accommodation immediately terminated and Police will be notified.
