Casa Verde surrounded by the Atlantic Forest

Waking up in the house is being in the midst of one of the richest and most beautiful biomes on the planet. Faced with the countless shades of green, the view is lost and contemplates. The Atlantic Forest is all around. Our neighbors are the beautiful seven-colored tanagers and the blood tanagers that, already accustomed to a certain stewardship, land on the wood to nibble a slice of papaya. The rustic brick, wood and glass invites you to rest, to calm, to cozy up. The space Caiçara dwelling: where the rustic and the simple set the tone and invite us to contemplate the natural exuberance that surrounds us. The year was 1986. There was no electricity, no asphalt. To reach the top, you had to be attentive and strong. From the balcony of the house, it was possible to see an extensive stretch of sea. Since then, the forest has grown, the trees have taken their shapes and their canopies now touch the sky. The sound of the sea remained. The outdoor deck is nice for a good sunbath or for warm, starry nights. From its inauguration to now, 36 years of great joy, care and affection for this place have gone by. A house of memories, where friends chat into the night and children fall asleep in the hammock to the sound of a guitar. "A tidy house is like this: An organized, clean place with free space for circulation and a good light entry. But a home, for me, has to be a home and not an operating room, a soap opera set. There are people who spend a lot of time cleaning, sterilizing, adjusting the furniture, fluffing the cushions… No, I prefer to live in a house where I can see and immediately realize: There's life here… A house with life, for me, is one where books come off the shelves and ornaments play at changing places. A home with life has a stove worn out by use, by the abuse of hearty meals, which call everyone to the kitchen table. A spotless sofa? A carpet with no pulled threads? A table without a single cup ring? It's obvious it's a house without a party. And if the floor has no scratches, it's because nobody dances there. A house with life, for me, has a bathroom with scented steam in the middle of the afternoon. There's a junk drawer, the kind where we keep string, passport and birthday candle, all together… A home with life is one where we enter and feel welcome. The one that's always ready for friends, children... Grandchildren, for the neighbors... And in the bedrooms, if possible, there are sheets turned over by people who play or date at any time of the day. A home with life is one that we arrange to look like us. Tidy your home every day… But tidy it up in a way that leaves you time to live in it... The land surrounding the house is wooded and not fenced. Access by car is easy and quiet (even in the rain), as the steepest climbs are all paved. The distance from Casa Verde to the entrance of Brava beach (nearest beach) is approximately 800 meters, but it is necessary to remember that because it is at the top of the hill, it is not a flat path. On the way there are steeper stretches. In addition to Brava beach, after another 3-minute drive, you can reach Fortaleza beach. From Fortaleza, it is possible to take the famous "Trail of the 7 beaches of Ubatuba" tour. It is a 10 km stretch that connects Fortaleza Beach to Lagoinha Beach, passing through Cedro Beach, Prainha, Desert Beach, Grande Bonete, Bonete, Peres, and Oeste Beach. Those who like to walk in the middle of the woods and come across beautiful landscapes will simply love to take this route. In addition to the trails, there are also, close by and accessible by car, the beautiful Costa beach, Vermelha do Sul beach and Dura beach.
