Welcome to Gracemere Garden Cottage – your tranquil, cosy home away from home in the historic goldfields town of Ballarat. Gracemere Garden Cottage has been designed with comfort and cosiness in mind. Nestled within mature gardens and with a soothing outlook towards Black Hill, this is the place to choose if you’re after a restful stay. The Cottage is privately located to the rear of the main house, with off-street parking and 24-hour access via the private garden gate. The space After a day of exploring, sink into a very comfy brand-new queen-sized bed. There is also a pull-out double sofa bed in the living area to suit an extra guest or two. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, gas cooktop, full-size fridge, crockery, cutlery and everything you might need to self-cater. There is a full bathroom with toilet and walk-in shower, plus a separate toilet adjacent to the bedroom. Extra features include a new reverse-cycle air conditioning unit in the living area, and hydronic heating for year-round comfort, plus TV, super-fast NBN internet, books, magazines and board games to keep you occupied. Relax under the shady walnut tree enjoying the peaceful garden view. Pick fresh produce from the kitchen garden or take a short stroll to one of several excellent local pubs and cafes. There’s a gorgeous walking trail right on the back doorstep and plenty of visiting birdlife. The cottage is spacious and wheelchair-friendly once up the small front step, with support rails installed in the bathroom and toilet. Sorry, we can't accommodate any pets (besides service dogs) and the Cottage is not suitable for infants or children under 16. Guest access Access is via a private garden gate. Off-street parking available. Once I have settled you in, you will have complete privacy throughout your stay – unless you need me. The location in Ballarat East is convenient and central. It’s an easy 10-minute walk to cafes and pubs; a 20-minute walk/5-minute drive to the supermarket; a 25 minute walk/5-minute drive to the centre of town and station; and less than 10 minutes to the hospital precinct and Lake Wendouree. Other things to note Do you have any allergies? Particularly to feathers in pillows and doonas.
