Tucked into the forested mountain slopes above Hout Bay, close to the nature reserve, Little Shalimar is the perfect place to recharge and refresh. This charming semi-detached cottage is located in a quiet, private and secure neighbourhood. Forget about the outside world for as long as you need, yet be close enough to access it when it suits you! There is safe parking behind an electric gate but please note that the steep driveway is not suitable for very low cars, sedans or station wagons. The space The space is bright and cheerful, comfortable and well equipped. I don't want to say too much, as I like to keep a few surprises up my sleeve :) There are seating areas outdoors on the patio, in the front garden and at the braai area, beneath the massive pine trees. The cottage is one of two semi-detached homes. I live in the one next door, with my four legged co-host, Molly. She loves to meet new visitors but I will keep her out of your way - as much as I can! *Please note that for longer stays, the space is better suited for two adults and two children. For shorter stays, four adults will be quite comfortable.* Guest access Whilst the cottage is on one level, you will need to climb up five fairly steep stairs to access it. Other things to note Our cell phone reception is adequate but not excellent. I recommend switching your phone settings to WiFi Calling for your stay. There is strong, constant WiFi but the signal may be slightly weaker during load shedding. I have a mini UPS, additional lighting and gas cooking facilities to keep you going when the power is off.
