Stay in a cozy cabin and experience the northern lights in great nature

The cabin is of high standard, 4 bedrooms with a total of 7 beds. There is water, electricity, heat pump and wood stove. The kitchen is well-equipped. Bathroom with heated floor, shower, toilet, sink and washing machine. The cabin has its own Wi-Fi. TV can be connected to Apple TV or Comcast. Outside, under the stars, you can enjoy a Jacuzzi for 5 people. The water is cleaned by the owner. There are several terraces with outdoor furniture, barbecue hut, woodshed, pizza oven and gas grill. In summer it is possible to rent a small boat without an engine for 30 euros. The space In 2024, Bodø is the European Capital of Culture. In the areas around the whole of Bodø there will be many cultural experiences worth experiencing. The cabin is located north of the Arctic Circle. If you want to see Saltstraumen, which is the world's strongest ocean current, you can drive there in 25 minutes. It's easy to catch fish there! Right outside the cabin you will see Skjerstadfjorden which is known for its teeming fishing and bird life. Here you can fish for cod, pollock, trout, catfish or burbot. You can drive to Vestvatn alpine resort in just 25 min. Ski equipment can be rented there. From the cabin you can walk straight up the mountain to get a spectacular view. On a clear autumn or winter evening, the northern lights over the cabin can be seen in all their glory and on the bright summer evenings you can stroll along the fjord and if you are tough enough you can take a refreshing swim on the beach right below the cabin. If you want to experience the Arctic Circle, it is only a drive of about 1:45 h away. Guest access Guests have access to the entire cabin except for a small part marked private inside the storage room in the hallway. Let us know if you want to rent the boat (in summer). It costs 30 euros for the entire stay. Other things to note It is advisable to have a car/rent a car to get to and from the cabin as well as the opportunity to visit other places in the area. Furthermore, we recommend that you buy food on the way to the cabin so you don't have to drive back to the nearest store. Drinking water is available in jugs as there is a lime taste in the water in the tap.
