Rental unit in Edinburgh

This is a large A-listed tenement flat in Newington. It is within walking distance of Edinburgh University (and only five minutes from the Pollock Halls), the vibrant city centre, Queen’s Park and the Meadows. We offer a very spacious and stylish Yellow Room with a small bright study. The main area has a three-piece suite and a dining table. This room makes an ideal base from which to explore the city. The surrounding area has four supermarkets and many shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. The space The first-floor flat has a traditional feel thanks to some stunning original features, but has been recently upgraded to conform to current electrical and gas safety standards. This Yellow Room was newly refurbished and has, amongst other things, a quirky 'miniature garden'. You will find the room full of thoughtful decorative touches to help make your stay that bit more enjoyable. There is a huge hall, boasting a beautifully carved and upholstered bench, which is almost sitting-room. We also have a bright dining kitchen with all the modern amenities you would expect. This room has USB charging points in one of the power sockets, a TV, radio, kettle, water jar and flask. There is a great selection of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar and biscuits. We also provide tea cups and coffee mugs. If you or anyone with you has any allergies, you MUST let us know. There is plenty of room to hang your clothes and we also provide small soaps, shampoos and creams to sample. Again, let us know of any possible allergic reactions to particular products. Guest access Guests have the use of their room, the hall, kitchen, bathroom and toilet. There is an attractive large garden at the back of the building. You are welcome to relax yourself in this back garden. During your stay Your host, Natalia, will normally greet you in person. We are usually on site during your stay. If you have any issues or you would like some tips for your visit, Natalia, Ken or Chiwen will be on hand to help. We want to make sure that you have everything you need for your stay. Please feel free to make contact with me through Airbnb (private messaging) at any time when you are out and about during your visit. When booking is complete, you will receive details through a web link with all the necessary information to check yourself in. Access after 3pm (unless by prior arrangement). You can leave your luggage earlier if you like. Check-out is straightforward i.e. 11am at the latest. We try to see you before you leave, but if not just leave your keys on the desk beside the room door. If you arrive very late, please use our self-check in system. When you book the room with us, there will be instructions on how to reach our building. Nearer your arrival time, we will provide you with more detailed information as to how to access your room. A copy of our house rules will be available on the bureau. If you stay on for a longer period and require additional free cleaning services, towels/linen etc, please let us know. Also note that we charge £50 for each set of lost keys. For security purposes, there may be an additional cost to replace the locks. So, please keep your keys safe. If any object in the home is damaged by you, there will be a surcharge according to Airbnb rules. Other things to note 1. If you would like to have an extra person accommodated in your room, we can put an extra low-position bed converted from a sofa seat into the room. There is an extra £15 charge for each night. 2. Natalia will normally greet you in person and explain the house rules and situation to you. If there is some reason that Natalia cannot greet you, please do not worry. There is self-check in system. When you complete your booking with us, we will send you instructions on how to get your room. Our house rules are supplied on the desk in your room.
