Description

Stylish rooms with a glorious view to Skye over the Sound of Sleat in an unspoilt and tranquil part of Scotland. The space A beautifully decorated double en-suite room with a magnificent, uninterrupted view over the Sound of Sleat and across to the Isle of Skye. Situated by the shoreline in the peaceful crofting village of Glenelg with the local shop and village pub within close walking distance Spindrift is a perfect place to take time to watch the ever changing weather and light. This area is an outdoor paradise with beautiful walks and nearby sandy beaches. A continental breakfast is provided in the morning and your room has a tea tray and an nespresso machine. We are a short drive to the car ferry to Skye, which runs from Easter to October, a wonderful and special way to go to Skye. Although, not guaranteed, from the windows of your room I have been lucky enough to have seen sea eagles dolphins and minke whales out in the Sound, and on a flooding tide in the still winter mornings, otters teaching their young how to fish in the bay. Its sister room Maelstrom is also available to stay in. During your stay Spindrift and Maelstrom are in a newly built garden annex. We live next door, so if you need anything we will be on hand to help, but you can choose yourself how or if you want to interact with us.
