A 2 bedroom cottage duplex in the woods, a mile from the stadium, just a few minutes drive from the hospital, and 3 miles from downtown. Guests stay in the full private apartment above, the owner and family are in the basement apartment below. Country privacy, city convenience. Large living and dining area, galley style kitchen with gas stove. Deck overlooking private wooded area. The space This is a spacious two bedroom apartment with a large living/dining area with a vaulted ceiling. The master bedroom and living area have doors onto the deck. The space is the upstairs part of a duplex. My family and I live in the downstairs part. Guest access The house has a basement apartment which is where the owner lives. The backyard is fenced for the resident dog, but the front yard is all yours, as is the upstairs apartment and deck. Other things to note This is a well-loved and lived in house. It is not a hotel. As time goes on, we'll be improving, but right now it needs paint and some work on the exterior. It is a beautiful space, with hardwood floors, and the deck is really large, but it is not a pristine guesthouse. It is a really nice, spacious 2 bedroom apartment for a reasonable price. There is a resident dog who stays downstairs. You might hear her bark. When thunderstorms are brewing and we are at work, she has been known to break through the barriers and head upstairs looking for solace. The door from the basement is locked, and she can't get through, but she has gotten up to the top of the stairs to whine. There is also a cat on the premises, who you probably won't see unless she decides to hang out in the window box--which has no flowers in it for that very reason.
