For the first several years we lived upstairs with two roommates. We work full time jobs during business hours, but we are available to help should a need arise. We recommend you park in the back yard. There is plenty of room on the asphalt behind the house. Most errands require a car. Ridesharing: Uber is a great option to get around Richmond. You can use the promo code rosemariey22ue for your first ride free! Lyft is a similar app and also pretty easy to use. Flying? The Richmond International Airport (RIC) is 20 miles away or 25 minutes by car, depending on traffic. Public Transportation: The Richmond Greyhound bus station is Arthur Ashe Blvd, Richmond, VA 23230, 8 miles away or 14 minutes by car. The GRTC (Richmond local bus routes) has a bus stop at the entrance to the neighborhood. As far as I know, the bus system is pretty good, and you can use it to get around all over. To be fair, I have never used it, but even just the past year or two they have made many upgrades to the system and stops around the city. It’s called the GRTC. It’s $3.50 for a Richmond area day pass, and $17.50 for a 7 day pass. The stops close to the 3rd Avenue home are on the Local Green Series. They have an app to buy fares and see when the next bus is coming. Their routes are integrated into Google maps to make trip planning easier. ABSOLUTELY NO CATS. My husband is allergic. We require that you clean up after your pets in the home and yard. There are pet waste bags in the kitchen closet if you need them. The backyard is unfenced, so we recommend keeping your dogs on a leash at all times. The house is about half a mile from very busy streets that could be dangerous for your fur family.
