Enjoy a relaxing experience at The Rafters: a cosy, centrally-located, historic grade II listed apartment full of character and charm. Located in Bradford on Avon, perfect for exploring nearby Bath. The World Heritage City of Bath is just 8 miles away and 12 minutes by train. Bradford on Avon is a picturesque small town on the southern edge of the Cotswolds, surrounded by beautiful countryside in Wiltshire and Somerset. The space Totally private and self contained accommodation with a shared front entrance and hallway. This smart, quirky, and cosy apartment is right in the centre of the beautiful historic town of Bradford on Avon just 8 miles from the World Heritage City of Bath, which is minutes away by train. **No parking onsite - paid parking nearby** Open plan living / dining kitchen space, compact shower room and a mezzanine bedroom under the rafters - giving the apartment its name. Lovely views over the rooftops and terraced houses on the hillside are visible from the kitchen window and bedroom skylight. The kitchen area has basic utensils plus kettle & toaster, 2 ring hob & oven and a small fridge. Great for rustling up a tasty breakfast but not really suitable for large scale cooking! Day to day household essentials are provided including washing up liquid, kitchen roll, toilet roll, tea towels, hand soap, cloths, salt, pepper, vinegar, oil, tea, coffee, sugar & milk. I also provide a complimentary welcome basket containing a few extras to greet you after your journey. The shower room has a corner shower, basin and loo. Fluffy towels and quality toiletries are provided for your use. The bedroom has a standard double bed with a comfortable mattress and cotton bedding, together with built in cupboard & drawers. You will find shops, bars, restaurants & cafes moments from your door, including a supermarket for day to day essentials. The town is a delightful place to explore on foot, with lots of quaint narrow streets, footpaths, and lovely views. The railway station is a 5 minute walk from the apartment, for easy direct trains into nearby Bath (12 mins), as well as Bristol & Salisbury. The riverside and iconic town bridge are also steps away from the apartment - and the Kennet & Avon canal & Barton Farm Country Park are close by, perfect for walking or cycling. Bicycles can be hired locally in the town. For guests wishing to explore further afield - Frome, Lacock, Great Chalfield, Stourhead, Malmesbury, Tetbury, Castle Combe, Longleat and Stonehenge are all within striking distance and make great day trips. Guest access There is no parking onsite, but paid parking is available a 5 minute walk away. The apartment is on the second floor of an historic grade II listed building dating from 1800. There are low sloping ceilings in the bedroom with exposed beams. Tall guests will need to take extra care! Other things to note The apartment is only suitable for guests who are able to climb stairs as it is on the second floor and there is no lift. There is an external iron staircase leading up to the front door of the building. The bedroom and staircase have low sloping ceilings with exposed beams - please take care and mind your head! There is no parking on-site, but there is a long stay pay & display car park a short (5 min) walk away. The Rafters is a non smoking property. Sorry - no pets.
