@fairviewbeechworth Built in 1885, Fairview Cottage is a great base to explore Ovens River Valley including wineries, Murray to Mountains Rail Trail, Bright, Mt Buffalo, King Valley. The cottage has 3 bedrooms + 1, wrap-around porch, fireplace, AC, WiFi, laundry facilities, well-appointed kitchen, parking, outdoor area and expansive gardens with privacy. Located 800m to the heart of Beechworth's shops, cafes & only minutes to Lake Sambell, walking and riding trails & Chinese Gardens. The space Suitable for a family or a quiet escape. The kitchen has all you need to prepare your own meals including a dishwasher. There is a washing machine. Fans are in all rooms and there is AC in the main living area. The lounge has a smart TV and there is WiFi. The large garden has established trees, fruit trees, roses and plenty of privacy. You are welcome to pick any fruit if you can get to it before the parrots do. There is apple, orange, grape, mulberry, lemon, quince, pear, apricot and plum. There is an outdoor patio at the rear with seating, a BBQ and a fire pit. There is room for 4 people in the main bedrooms and additional people can be accommodated in the small bedroom with a single bed, or the detached studio has a Koala fold-out double sofa bed. There is space for 7 people in total. The home is pet friendly with an enclosed yard and doggy door but this does mean there may be evidence of pets - although we do our very best to make the home extremely clean. We accept cats and dogs. The living room has a wood-burning fireplace but fire wood is only supplied from 15th June-15th September due to availability. The house is nearly 140 years old so there are some quirks, a few things that could do with an upgrade and a few minor works underway. @fairviewbeechworth Guest access There is off-street parking in the front of the house. It is not undercover or fenced. There is additional garage parking on request, accessed via the side lane. A security box is on the property with an access code to get the key for the entrance. Other things to note Some networks have challenges with mobile signal. Telstra is best. If you are with another network the best place to get reception is the front porch. If you are visiting in the colder part of the year I'd like to give you some details about heating. It gets cold in Winter. It can dip to -5 degrees in the evenings. I supply a reverse cycle air conditioner with a heating option. There is a wood fire in the living room with wood supplied from 1st June - 15th September. I also supply 3 x space heaters, usually located in the wardrobes of the bedrooms. There are ceiling fans in each room with a reverse setting to circulate warm air from the ceiling - so try on a low setting as I find it makes a huge difference. I don't supply heated bedding. But... it can still be very cold and you will benefit from bringing slippers and an Oodie or gown for the bathroom.
