Description
Our traditional stone-built cottage is the perfect location for a family getaway in the Lake District. It is situated in a scenic location with far-reaching countryside views. The cosy cottage sleeps up to 6 guests with 2 double bedrooms and a twin. The master bedroom features an ensuite bathroom, the rest of the house is served by a family shower room. Downstairs there is a spacious living room, separate dining room, conservatory and play room. Guests have full use of the hot tub and garden. The space Our stone cottage is the perfect base for a family holiday in The Lakes. It occupies an idyllic location on the edge of Skelwith Fold, less than 10 minutes’ drive from Ambleside and within easy reach of Windermere. Kitchen & living area The cottage is warm and cosy with beautiful soft furnishings and a welcoming interior. The décor is a mix of modern and traditional, with plenty of rustic charm. The spacious lounge features wooden beams, a log burner and 3 comfortable sofas, where you can enjoy relaxing evenings with family and friends. The lounge opens onto a bright and airy conservatory and games rooms with pool table. The kitchen has recently undergone a complete refurbishment and boats plenty of worktop space alongside modern fixtures and fittings. It is well equipped with everything you’ll need to self-cater during your holiday, including pots, pans, cutlery and utensils. Next to the kitchen there is a utility Bedrooms Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms to choose from – 2 doubles and a twin. The master bedroom has a newly fitted bathroom with a bathtub and heated towel rail. There’s also a family bathroom with double walk-in shower. Both of the double bedroom’s boast spectacular views over the Lake District countryside and surrounding fells. The twin-bedroom overlooks the secluded garden. Beautiful Garden with Hot Tub The mature cottage garden is the perfect place to take in the picturesque views on warm summer evenings. We’ve provided outside dining furniture for al fresco meals and there’s a private hot tub to relax and unwind. There are beautiful lawns and beds thoughtfully planted with colorful flowers and shrubs. Guest access Cottage Number One is owned and managed by Skelwith Fold Caravan Park and situated on a quiet country lane, on the outskirts of the site. Please check in directly with Reception. Follow the B5286 which will bring you to our main entrance. Cottage Number One guests can enjoy the best of both worlds during a stay at our holiday cottage – a secluded Lakeland setting and full use of the holidays parks facilities (1st March to mid-November), just a short walk away. Facilities include over 100 acres of woodland to explore and two children’s play areas. Cottage guests will receive check in instruction on the morning of arrival but are welcome to check in at check in at Skelwith Fold Caravan Park reception where one of our friendly team will give you the keys and direct you to your holiday cottage. The reception team can answer any questions you have during your stay. They can also offer suggestions of things to see and do in the local area. There is a private entrance. There is a drive for one large car or 2 compact cars, on street parking for additional cars. Other things to note Pet friendly (2 dogs max)
