Linda-land is on the Domain of the University of the South, moments from the Mountain Goat Trail and walking distance to the heart of campus or downtown Sewanee (The Village). Perfect for the young and the young-at-heart to refresh and relax. This space is available for University visitors and events. Linda-land is a front addition to the main house, with its own separate private entrance and bathroom. The hall door to the main house is kept locked. We keep a white noise machine going outside the hall door in order to screen household sounds. Linda-land has a closet (painted wardrobe pictured in photos), a chest of drawers and many shelves for your storage. Kitchenette area has toaster oven, microwave, small refrigerator, automatic-drip coffee maker and electric tea kettle, along with basic dishware and utensils, including tools such as a can opener and corkscrew. Linda-land is ideal for one or 2 people. There's a single portable bed available upon request. Linda-land is no smoking and pet-free. I live in the main house with my cat (who's not allowed in Linda-land). I am usually on the premises in my studio in back of the main house, available if you need anything. If I don't have what you need, I will help you find it! I'm very available and eager to help. In my absence, I'll designate a contact person. Linda-land is in Sewanee on The Domain of The University of The South, near Lake O'Donnell just south of Highway 41A (aka Solace Freeman or Sewanee Highway) . The main house was built in 1962, and the portion that is Linda-land was added around 25 years ago by previous owners. This quiet neighborhood just off the highway has easy access to the Mountain Goat Trail and is surrounded by woods, near Lake O'Donnell and Hat Rock. Linda-land's parking space is at the end of the driveway- turn immediately left into the space from the main driveway. Linda-land is just off the Mountain Goat Trail, and within walking distance of most of the University campus, as well as The Village ("Downtown"). Bring your bike to explore with- or, rent one from Woody's. Distances for Sewanee walks: Linda-land to The Village ("Downtown"- Shenanigans, Blue Chair, Regions, etc) is just under 1 mile. Linda-land to Stirlings is .9 mile. Linda-land to Bairnwick Women's Center is 1.1 mile. Linda-land to Shakerag Hollow is .9 mile. Linda-land to the University Library, All Saints' Chapel, Fowler Center, McGee Field is 1.3 miles. Breakfast is an assortment of yogurt, granola, and fruit according to availability. Coffee, tea and various snacks are also provided.
