Private cottage apartment, built 1857 (attached to a larger house). Living room, kitchen, and bath downstairs and two bedrooms and bath upstairs. Located near State land and hiking trails from the back door. Private garden. Nearby to West Point. Cold Spring is a 5 minute drive, Beacon is 15 minutes away, and so is Peekskill - both have great restaurants. Young children are welcome. Dogs are welcome. Charming space; each bedroom has a skylight. The house was built in 1857, so this is not a modern facility. We do have a PacnPlay and a high chair for infants/toddlers. You will have the cottage and garden to yourselves. Parking right outside. We will make every attempt to greet you in person, and we are usually close by, but we will leave you as much privacy as you like. We are next to part of the Hudson Highlands State Park. We are 5 miles from the town of Cold Spring, and about 15 minutes from West Point. Beacon is 10 miles north and Peekskill is 10 miles south; both small cities have great restaurants. Bear Mountain is just across the Hudson river - great for recreation. We are about 2 miles from the Garrison train station with trains to Grand Central in NYC. Because we are a few miles from town, a car is a necessity. there are local taxis and Uber. Note that there are stairs up to the second floor. There is a safety gate installed at the top of the stairs. Dogs are welcome but sorry no cats.
