Our lovely cottage is as beautiful and peaceful as the photos. With gorgeous water views, it's a wonderful place to relax, walk on the beach, cook dinner and drink wine while watching the sun set. It's cozy and unforgettable, just 90 minutes from Grand Central on Metro North. First bedroom has a queen-size bed, and the second bedroom has a full-size bed. An extra-long twin in a quiet corner of the living area is both a daybed and extra accommodation. The bathroom has a shower and claw foot tub. Other things to note The space: Lovely, open and classic 1930s beach cottage is a magically light and quiet, special place to relax. The views onto to Long Island Sound are fantastic. Sand and surf are right out the front door! The cottage is fitted out with comfortable vintage and minimalist furnishings and has wood floors throughout. The kitchen has top-of-the-line appliances including a Sub-Zero refrigerator, Gaggenau cooktop, Miele oven and dishwasher. The cottage has two bedrooms and a spacious living area comprised of an open kitchen and large dining and living room. One bedroom has a queen-size bed, and the other bedroom has a full-size bed. An extra-long twin in a quiet corner of the living area is both a daybed and extra accommodation at night. The bathroom has a tiled stall shower, a claw-foot tub and limestone floors. A deck right outside the front door provides additional space to relax and enjoy the sun and beautiful views. New A/C (mini-split units) are installed in the living room and each of the bedrooms. These also provide heat in the winter. Walking and biking are favorite past times. Sailing, wind-surfing, golf, fishing, and bird watching are other popular activities. Seaside eateries Little Pub and Riley's are a short walk just down the way, for ice cream, huge hot pretzels and family meals. Amenities include wireless internet, flat-screen television with streaming services in the living room, washer/dryer, dishwasher, A/C units. But nothing beats the view and unique calm this place provides. The cottage is located only minutes off of interstate I-95 and is quickly accessible from Stamford to New Haven. Local train service from Stratford and Bridgeport to New York, Stamford, and New Haven is easily accessible. NOTE 1: During the summer months, we prefer to rent by multiple weeks or the month. NOTE 2: We only allow a maximum of four adults in the house. Families with small children are an exception to this rule. NOTE 3: No parties, no exceptions.
