Half-timbered house near Göttingen

This is an old half-timbered house from 1780. The garden with several terraces, pool, sauna, fireplace and grill invites you to relax. We have put emphasis on preserving the old and making it appear. Liveliness, creativity, and the joy of it are part of life here. The space I hope you can enjoy our beautiful place. The house is very spacious at 170 sqm, the garden is very nicely landscaped with a pool, sauna (must be booked additionally), barbecue facilities, fireplace and several terraces. The garden is shared by the guests, but there is a private share. We value privacy both for the guests and us who live here. The large kitchen-living room is very spacious with a working kitchen oven. There is a fireplace room on the upper floor of the apartment. However, we expect there to be "oven connoisseurs" who use them. Unfortunately, a group almost caused us a fire. There are wooden floorboards everywhere in the house. It was built in 1780, so there is a beam upstairs where tall people have to bend over. It has a wonderful charm and is certainly not a perfect new building. Unfortunately, guests complain that there are sometimes cobwebs or even flies. We live here in the country and are very happy that they still exist! It is important to me that we are unconventional, i.e. not a 5-star hotel. Wood for the fireplace is carried by the guests, sometimes the chairs from one terrace to the next. So you can feel free and at home. If something is missing, we always try to fulfill their wish for the guests. The house radiates its stories and we went out of our way to preserve it: liveliness and creativity If you are looking for a place to feel comfortable with friends or family, you are welcome! Attention:we live right in the heart of a village and here there is a noon rest from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. I have to point out because there were already groups that were so loud that neighbors complained. Mutual respect is very important to me. Guest access There is the main entrance and a back entrance. Other things to note A nice place to meet with family and friends. Göttingen is a very beautiful old city, and the surrounding area invites you to walk, hike or cycle. It's important to me that my guests know that the pool is only seasonal. It may happen that in bad weather, it is not ready in June. Consuming electricity, chlorine and water in times when no one is swimming is not mine. It is always noted that on the upper floor, tall people have to bend over some beams. However, there is sufficient ceiling height in the rooms. The house is very old.
