Gîte in idyllic setting
Gîte in idyllic setting
Description
Our converted barn is located in the Haute Vienne which is part of the famous Limousin region of central France. It offers the relaxation you need with self catering accommodation and is the ideal place to forget about stress and to unwind. Please note: The parking is for one car only. No trailers, transit vans, camper vans or motor homes are permitted. The space Gite in France The gite comprises: living area, a kitchen area, bathroom with shower and bedroom above on a wooden dais. The large French windows leading to the outside give the gite a light and airy feel. Our converted barn can sleep 2 adults comfortably and there is also a single bed should you want to sleep in separate beds. If the use of the single bed is required, there is an additional one off fee of £10.00. The gite is for use of two people only. Please note: there is only English speaking TV available. Guest access There is ample garden for children to play, with no traffic worries and plenty of opportunities for exploration. There is also a table for outdoor dining. It is ideally located for walking, cycling and exploring the local flora and fauna. Other things to note There are two lakes in the vicinity: the lake at Videix and the lake by St. Mathieu. Nestled in woodland and fed by the river Colle the lake near St. Mathieu offers all the traditional amenities; toilets, showers and of course a man-made beach. Fed by the Charente river and much bigger than the lake at St. Mathieu, the lake at Videix also offers sun bathing and swimming facilities. It is approx. 8 km (5 miles) from our gite. Set on a plateau, the lake is more open and therefore also has sailing facilities. There is, of course, a man made beach with shower and toilet facilities and a bar offering refreshments and snacks.
