Book your midnight sun or aurora experience now😍 Welcome to my childhood home located in beautiful Malangen peninsula in Balsfjord municipality, 50 minutes drive from Tromsø airport. My place is ideal for aurora watching in the wintertime without any light pollution and the perfect place to stay during summer as it is close to all the attractions in this part of Northern Norway but still nice and quiet. The place is very well equipped , remote and private, but not isolated. The space The location is the perfect choise for the independant traveller who want space and privacy, but also a cozy place to stay. Here you have the aurora and the midnight sun right at your doorstep. The house is very well euipped and you will probably find most of what you need of kitchen euipment along with a selection of basic dry goods, spice, oil++ The house is very spacious and I always do my upmost to make the place comfy and inviting for my guests. The large windows in the living room gives you a unique view towards both the sea and the mountains. You will always have logs for the fire place and the outdoor camp fire pan. Note that a booking for two persons include use of one bedroom. If you as a party of two needs two bedrooms please inform me. Guest access My place is ideal for Aurora watching in the season from late September until April without any light pollution. It is also the perfect base if you want to go hiking or fishing during spring, summertime and autumn, or skiing in the wintertime. The island Senja with its beautiful nature and famous mountains is just a little over two hours drive from my place. The road and the ferrytrip to Senja is an adventure by itself. Sommarøya and Hillesøy are also just one and a half hours drive away. Here you will find amazing white beaches and crystal clear water. If you want to go cross-country skiing during winter, there are several prepared trails on the peninsula. Målselv Fjellandsby and Tromsø Alpinsenter are both an hour's drive from the house if you who want to go downhill skiing. I have two pair of snowshoes available on request (free of charge). The mountain Blåruttind with its 806 meters above sea level is located almost straight above my house. There are altso plenty of other hiking routes on the peninsula and in the area in general. The Lyngen alps are two and a half hours drive away. This roadtrip also gives you view to the beautiful nature in the area. For those who want to go fishing there are several possibilities for organized boat trips or boat renting in the area. You can even go down to the sea with your fishing rod and catch cod and pollock just a few minutes walk from the house. From the end of May until end of July you can see the midnight sun. This is a truly amazing experience any you will find it hard to go to bed. Feel free to use any part of my property where there are no other housing. You can take a stroll down to the ocean or walk up the hills to come even closer to the beautiful and stunning nature. At my place you have the opportunity to experience all the best Northern Norway has to offer. Other things to note A rental car is mandatory as public transportation is very limited. Wood for the stove included in your stay. Free rental of snow shoes. Towels, soap and shampoo/conditioner included.
