The space Please note nightly prices vary from low to high peak weeks and there is no garbage service, you must take all of your food and garbage with you to the local dump. Lakefront cabin bordering Acadia National Park. Studio (1 single large room house with loft) with a king bed loft (swing-down ladder loft access), queen convertible couch, and a single fold-out twin convertible bed, both with super comfortable memory foam replacement mattresses (not the typical convertible couch mattresses). **Bring Your own sheets, blankets, pillows, towels, supplies, and paper products**. Separate small bathroom with shower (shower is small and dated), sink, and toilet. Gorgeous lake views, cathedral ceiling, fire pit, large private deck with charcoal (BYO) BBQ grill and sunsets directly across the lake. Loons and other wildlife abound. The park does not allow high speed boats or jet skis on the lake, so it is very slow and pleasant. Private use of dock, canoe, kayaks, and large off-shore lake float for swimming. WIFI (speed is 10 megabit download and 1 Meg upload). Close to Bar Harbor and Southwest Harbor, located on Echo Lake. Conveniently located on Rt. 102/Main Street, about 30 steps down off the road overlooking the lake, very private with roadside parking. Note: You can hear the road. From the deck down to the lake, there are 30 steps of uneven rocks that go down to the water, not conducive for people who have a hard time navigating stairs without railings. Electricity, hot running water from lake, normal flush plumbing, coffee machine, renovated kitchen with granite tops and 2-burner cook-top, microwave, and toaster oven. Bathroom with hot shower, flush toilet and additional rustic hot outdoor shower deck with warm water hose hook up in the woods. Modern split unit wall-mounted air conditioner and heating unit. Beaches, bluffs, hiking, biking, carriage trails, lakes, lobsters, and coastline views all within minutes. Please, WITH PEACE AND LOVE, PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS PACK-IN PACK-OUT GARBAGE AND BRING YOUR OWN EVERYTHING (Pillows, Blankets, Sheets, pillow cases, towels, dish towels, drinking water, paper products, garbage bags, charcoal, etc). Regular plumbing from lake for sinks, shower, and flush toilet. YOU WILL BE IN A NATIONAL PARK, PLEASE LEAVE NO TRACE. PLEASE CONSERVE WATER, IT COMES FROM THE LAKE. PLEASE PACK OUT ANY LEFTOVER GARBAGE THERE IS NO GARBAGE REMOVAL AND PLEASE DO DISHES BEFORE DEPARTING DUE TO THE PESKY PARK ANIMALS. THIS IS A RUSTIC CAMPING CABIN (cleaned between guests but not white glove spotless). There is a free cleaning service but this place is NOT for the meticulously clean looking for a spotless hypoallergenic white glove fancy hotel room experience. It is a rustic camp in the woods with bring your own everything. Again, this is a "bring your own" pillows, blankets, linens, sheets, towels, paper products, drinking water, soaps, and dish towels arrangement as there is no laundry machine in the house (bring king bed, queen fold out couch, and/or single fold out sheets. Dishes, pots, pans, silverware and cooking utensils are provided. Please do all dirty dishes before departing and take all garbage and food with you due Park animals. There is a dump in town for drop off. Please leave no trace with Peace and Love, Peace and Love. Guest access Camp is located 30 wooden deck steps down from the roadside parking. Then there are 30 uneven and precarious rock steps down to the lake, dock, and float. Not for those who are not sure-footed. You will have use of the lake, dock, off-shore float, use of canoe, use of kayaks, large deck, charcoal grill, efficiency kitchen with 2 burner cook tops, running water from lake (not for drinking), toaster oven (no conventional oven), hot indoor and outdoor showers and fire pit. Acadia National Park borders the property. There is a sand beach and swimming spots along the lake. Swimming, hiking, biking, coastline, canoeing, sailing, off-shore boating, small townships, and lobsters within minutes from the camp. Free roadside parking area (please park away from neighbor's garage). *To do the National Park activities, you will need a Park Pass (buy online or at the Bar Harbor Park Headquarters or Sea Wall Campground) to use or park at any National Park trail heads. You do not need a pass to park at the Camp. Other things to note The camp is located on Mount Desert Island in Maine, accessed by a year-round bridge and road to the island. Taking a ferry is NOT required to get to the island. You can also fly to Portland, Bangor, or Bar Harbor Airports and rent cars from there. Bring your own linens and you will have to pack out your garbage as there is no garbage removal service. The rocks down to the lake are uneven and precarious, not for those who are not sure-footed.
