Studio with amazing views & walks near sea, Dorset

Tranquil, tiny s/c garden studio with very lovely views from your bed & beyond in the picturesque hamlet of Ryall. Next to our eco-house, against the scenic Hardown Hill & midway between Lyme Regis & West Bay, its ideally placed for outdoorsy types to enjoy the fabulous walks, beaches, & wildlife on our doorstep. Footpaths to Golden Cap, Charmouth, Symondsbury. Charismatic local village, Whitchurch Canonicorum. Bridport & Lyme Regis cafes, restaurants a short distance. Farm shop, pub nearby The space The Walkers Retreat is a light, bright, very petite (5X3m) studio space, detached and adjacent to our ecohouse and offering beautiful views through the east/west light on the rolling green hills of the Marshwood Vale. Thoughtfully designed and furnished, it has everything to make it a perfect short stay for one or two outdoorsy people who are keen to explore the attractions of this wonderful part of Dorset. The studio has a small table and 2 comfy chairs which fold away to maximize use of limited space. Within this, there is a kitchenette with hob, microwave and silent fridge, sink, cutlery and pans. There is a radiator, a small two person sofa and a TV and wifi. There is a separate shower room with shower, toilet and heated towel rail. Towards the back of the space there is a comfortable full size double wooden frame bed with pocket sprung mattress and cotton linen. Please note the bed is on a solid raised area and head height when standing is limited here. Outside the studio is your own garden area with table and chairs for you. As detailed below, you also have your own single parking space and entrance. Superfast broadband is readily available over our wifi. The space is small hence we do not as a rule allow longer than 3 days stay. Slightly longer stays may be available in some circumstances. Covid 19 Notes and Precautions: We have always maintained very high standards of cleanliness, and are making even greater stringent efforts in the crises we all face at present. We have signed up to the Airbnb enhanced cleaning protocol and reviewed advice on Covid-19 security from the Professional Association of Self Caterers UK and have adapted our management of the property accordingly. We will have cleaned and sanitised hard and soft surfaces including doorknobs and light switches using professional products conforming to BS EN1276, EN 14476 and using extensive checklists for each area. We will also ask you to do your part in ensuring everyone's safety by taking note of our full Covid-19 protocols which are set out in detail in the House Manual - particularly with regard to things you need to do on departure. To avoid any risk of Covid-19 contamination between guests, we are minimising the supplies we leave in the property. We will provide tea, coffee, milk, sugar, salt, pepper. We can also provide a starter pack of butter, our popular homemade bread and awarding winning jam produced from our own fruits, and sometimes, where available, eggs from our chickens - please let me know 48 hrs before arrival if you would like these items. We will also provide toilet roll, kitchen roll, hand soap, shampoo, washing up liquid, bin liners & basic cleaning equipment. Guest access Outside the studio is a small table and chairs for guests to further enjoy the stunning views. You are welcome to explore the garden with its Mediterranean coastal bank and take a look at our chickens, Fifi and Squawker! You have your own (single) parking space outside our garage in Butt Lane. (This is the left of the two garages nearest our house - please note the righthand garage belongs to neighbour). The space is adequately sized for most cars however, if your car is very large please let us know and we will accommodate you around the other side of the house. Other things to note Guests access is down 14 steep steps down from Butt Lane leading directly down to The Walkers Retreat studio next to the right side of the main house. Please note there is very limited circulation space within the studio, and luggage space within the studio - fine for backpacks or small cases but not large suitcases. The accommodation sleeps a maximum of two people. We regret that no Pets are allowed. No BBQs please due to proximity to house & no smoking in or immediately outside the BNB. Bring good walking shoes or boots if you intend doing a lot of walking. Please observe check in and out times so that we have time to clean and prepare the studio for you and subsequent guests.
