The bathroom is bright and well-appointed, perfect for unwinding after a day of walks or sightseeing. Outside, the enclosed walled garden is a real highlight — filled with classic English cottage planting including roses, honeysuckle and clematis. It’s perfect for relaxing with your dogs, enjoying a BBQ, or cosy evenings by the chiminea. Set in a quiet South Oxfordshire village, the cottage is ideally located for exploring Oxford, Blenheim Palace and the Cotswolds, while also offering beautiful countryside walks right from the doorstep. Whether you’re here for a relaxing break, countryside walks or time spent enjoying the local pub, this is a place to slow down and unwind in comfort. Guest access Parking is on the street outside the cottage, there is plenty of parking available and it is all free throughout the village. The cottage is then located about a 20 metre walk up the footpath from the road where you have parked. We would recommend bringing a car with you as the nearest bus links are in the next village (Wheatley). The Bat and Ball pub, which has recently reopened under new ownership following a beautiful refurbishment, is a 1 minute stroll away from the cottage. This offers elevated pub dishes in a beautiful cosy interior. The village has a lovely park with new playground equipment and amazing views so a great place if you have young children to take a picnic. Other things to note The cottage has excellent WiFi, great transport links to London, and a dedicated home office, so is perfect for working from home.
