The best way to be truly immersed in nature while still having your favourite creature comforts. Swim on the edge of World Heritage Wilderness in the crystal clear Tyenna River while sipping a local cider during the warmer months or enjoy a hot chocolate with a book by the indoor fire on a cool winters day. The space Our beautiful 'Acacia', a five meter bell tent situated a stone's throw from the edge of the gorgeous Tyenna River. Enjoy this romantic setting, nestled in amongst the ferns, natives such as Tasmanian Blackwood aka 'Acacia' and an abundance of wildlife. Experience nature up close within the comfort of your own private abode. The Acacia tent is fitted with luxuries cotton sheets, extra pillows and blankets, a tea and coffee station as well as a phone charging port. On a frosty morning you can light the indoor fire, watch the flickering glow while heating water for a freshly brewed hot drink. Or hop straight out of bed on to your private deck to soak in the morning sun. For the afternoon, you will find an esky inside the tent to keep your drinks chilled while you sit back and relax. 'We have payed great attention to detail to ensure that you a have luxuriously relaxing stay.' The rustic kitchen is only a 1 - 2 minute walk from the tent. The kitchen has a gas stove, kettle, bar fridge and all the essential cooking items to cook up a storm with beautiful local produce that you can find on your journey here. The Acacia Tent has its own private bathroom featuring a beautiful rustic shower and flushing eco toilet. The bathroom has been constructed by hand using reclaimed and repurposed materials locally sourced. Unwind in the outdoor inspired hot water shower while you listen to the river flow and the local black cockatoos flying by. Riversong Glamping is the perfect place to reconnect with nature and yourself. Acacia tent is completely off-grid - this means no TV or WIFI and limited mobile phone service. Telstra is the most reliable network in most of Tasmania. In the cooler months May - September be sure to bring some warm clothes and boots. It can get wet and cold outside of the Acacia Tent during these months. Though this is the best time to snuggle up inside the tent by the indoor fire and listen to the rivers song. At Riversong Glamping we believe in doing our part for the environment to ensure that it remains as diverse and abundant for our future generations. That's why we have supplied natural and organic soap, shampoo and conditioner which enables us to use recycled water on our plants. We have focused on using reclaimed materials wherever possible, built all structures by hand, made most furnishing items and repurposed decor. Guests will be sharing a kitchen space with other guests staying on the property. You will have your own fridge, stove and cooking utensils etc. The kitchen spaces are separated by a rustic bar and half wall. your kitchen space is solely yours to use, however you may be in the presence of other friendly guests utilising their kitchen. You will have your own private outdoor area around the Acacia Tent glamping site with your own private bathroom and fire pit. Check us out on social media! @riversong_glamping Riversong Glamping is nestled on the Tyenna River just off the main road. You will have your own private and secluded area surrounded by ferns and native trees. Due to Tyenna and beyond being such a beautiful corner of Tasmania there can be at times some busy roads. This is fantastic for our local community however, does mean that you may be able to hear some road noise during your stay. Not to worry, as the magnificent Tyenna River-Song will guide you into the tune, sights and smells of nature. We are continually working on making Riversong the most memorable nature stay uninterrupted by the outside world. With consistant efforts in planting more and more trees and shrubs and building up our guests privacy Guest access Guests will be able to park in a designated parking place that is approximately 20 metres from their tent on the property. Between relaxing on your private river front you may like to explore the local area in South West Tasmania? Here is a short list of activities, sights and adventures to be experienced: Russel Falls at Mt Field National Park. Westerway Raspberry Farm. Maydena Bike Park. Junee Caves. The Florentine Valley for numerous hikes/walks. The Gordon Dam at Strathgordon. Trout Fishing on Tyenna River. Lake Gordon. Lake Pedder. - The list goes on! We do recommend a minimum two night stay to ensure you don't rush any of these wonderful experiences and still have time to unwind. Other things to note Riversong Glamping is an adults only stay and unfortunately does not have disabled access. This is due to it's location as well as the ever changing seasons. Due to our dedication to protecting our environment and the local wildlife we are unable to accommodate pets. As Riversong Glamping is a nature retreat, please expect to be greeted by nature during your stay. Some wildlife you may be happy to see such as the local wombat, wallabies, platypus or birds. Our property is also home to other creatures, though these are rarely seen due to human activity. Spiders, ants and other bugs, possums (can be loud) and snakes (extremely rare), we are in their home and are grateful to be able to share it with them.
