If coming to Redding and traveling by plane we HIGHLY recommend you use a connecting flight from San Francisco Airport (SFO) and flying to Redding Airport. It takes 30 mins, and there are 3 flights a day. Amtrak (passenger train) only comes to Redding once a day and it is typically at 2 or 3am for arrival. It’s about 4-5 hours via train from the Bay Area. Greyhound Bus is another option but has a very long travel time as they typically stop in every city and small town. This is probably the cheapest option but definitely the longest one. 6-8 hrs usually for Greyhound. By car is also a good option. About 3hrs from the Bay Area, 2.5 hrs from Sacramento, and about 2.5 hrs from Medford, Oregon.
