Includes full work space & clothes storage. Use of kitchen, dining room & garden. Situated in leafy North Leeds, in walking distance of Roundhay Park, Gledhow Woods, Oakwood's bars & restaurants. On the corner a lovely sit in or out delicatessant, local supermarket, Chinese takeaway & post office. The space Lovely single bedroom, on 1st floor, in a traditional townhouse. Comfortable Ikea bed & mattress. Radiator and storage space. Desk, chair, WIFI & wired connection. In spacious, quiet, warm house that is clean with charm and character. Modern kitchen with all mod-cons and dining room. Patio garden with seating. For longer stays view my double room in same property. Guest access Single bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, dining room and rear garden. During your stay I give my guests the space they need and I am always available in person or via the app to make sure they have a good stay and provide them with local knowledge. Other things to note Other things to note: Regular buses, 1 min walk from house at end of the road, direct to Leeds City Centre (13A) in 24 mins with access to shops, businesses and Universities. Uber is available in the area. For longer stays view my double room in same property. Attractions: Leeds Armories - Britain's national museum of arms and armour brings history to life for a fun family day out. The museum has more than 8,500 objects on display in five galleries: War; Tournament; Oriental; Self Defence and Hunting. The best bit – it's free! But they gladly accept donations at the entrance. Steep yourself in history :- The Tudor-Jacobean estate of Temple Newsam is an interesting and informative day out. The estate was once owned by Henry VIII and is home to Europe's largest rare breeds farm. The gardens are extensive with a world famous display of Rhododendrons in May. (20 mins by car) The magnificent Harewood House and gardens are only 15 mins away. 15 minutes further takes you to the charming Market town of Harrogate, which as well as a having a wide choice of restaurants and boutique shops, hosts the Harrogate flower show from 20-23rd April and the Great Yorkshire Show from 11-13th July. Amazing architecture :- Leeds is not only a historically rich city, but also boasts some of the most beautiful architecture in Britain. The Leeds Town Hall, Victoria Quarter and the Trinity shopping centre are just a few of the must-see buildings. The architectural award-winning Victoria Gate shopping centre opened in 2017 with 42,000 sq ft of retail space. It includes a flagship John Lewis store. Go modern - Leeds Art Gallery: Home to a vast collection of contemporary British art, Leeds Art Gallery proves art can be fun for all ages. The Yorkshire Sculpture park near Wakefield is the UK's leading open air gallery. It is free but parking charges apply. It is 30 minutes away, down the M1. See the final resting place of the Mummy: Leeds City Museum is a fascinating –and completely free- attraction, with ever-changing special exhibitions and its very own Egyptian Mummy! Join in with the festivities: Throughout the year the city comes alive with many festivals and carnivals, from Leeds Festival (15 mins away at Bramham Park), Classical Fantasia, and the famous Leeds West Indian Carnival on the summer bank holiday, only 10 minutes walk away. Shop till you drop :- With over 1,000 shops in the city alone and 600+ stalls in the market Leeds was named the best shopping destination in the UK by the Rough Guide to Britain. If you're looking for fabulous fashion under one roof head to the Trinity shopping centre, the largest enclosed shopping centre in Europe. Step back in time :- Explore the medieval Cistercian Kirkstall Abbey. The 12th century abbey is set in picturesque parkland along the banks of the River Aire. If you're looking for history, heritage and a haven of wildlife and greenery, a sunny day will be well spent at this free local attraction. The foundations to this abbey are almost 900 years old ! Leeds for sport :- If you love sport Leeds has so much to offer sporting fans. Not only is Leeds home to a world-famous cricket ground, Headingley Carnegie, the city is also proud of its strong rugby heritage, with Leeds Rhinos and Leeds Carnegie drawing fans from across the world. Elland Rd is home to Leeds United. And Those were just a handful of the great sights the city has to offer. Some Interesting Facts About Leeds :- According to an independent national survey, Leeds is chosen to be the ‘Best Place in Britain to Live'. Leeds Kirkgate Market is Europe's largest indoor market and is home to over 600 stalls. It is open 6 days a week, Monday – Saturday.
