Description
A delightful stone-built cottage located in the village of Harmby, close to the popular Yorkshire towns of Leyburn and Middleham in the northern part of the Yorkshire Dales. Built in the 1600s, Puzzle Cottage is the oldest property in the village and is believed to have been the falconry for Bolton Castle. An unusual layout set out over three floors, the cottage has been sympathetically styled with a cosy cottage feel which adds to the immense character and charm of this historic old cottage. The space This gorgeous cosy one bedroomed cottage has a well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, fridge , freezer, toaster and kettle. On the first floor the cosy lounge has a multifuel burner stove for those chilly evenings. We have fast fibre broadband and a smart TV so you can be entertained and connected. On the second floor is the cosy romantic bedroom with a double bed and hot water bottles for chilly nights. Guest access Roadside parking nearby is available. The historic town of Richmond famous for its castle, shops, a theatre and tearooms is 20 minutes away by car. The Forbidden Corner in Middleham is a quirky venue with caves, folly and underground caverns. Aysgarth Falls and Castle Bolton are on route with many other picture postcard villages as you drive through. The area is also a walkers and cyclists paradise with many walks and hikes across the Yorkshire Dales. Other things to note We do allow one well behaved pet in the cottage but please be mindful of the spiral staircases in the cottage.
