Other things to note The property sits just outside of an old mining town (Alma, CO) that boasts itself to be the highest incorporated town in North America. The altitude is 10,500 ft above sea level which keeps the summer temperatures at a nice cool 70 degrees as a high. Persons with health conditions or who already have breathing conditions should be prepared. The river can be accessed year round- although the path is naturalized and potentially has watery access. Knee waders will always be enough to pick your way across even in high water.
