The space Originally built in the 1860s by Cornelius Vanderbilt as a hotel for railway travelers, this 6000 SF Victorian-Era house has been renovated & reimagined as a boutique getaway and event space featuring a blend of vintage & organic design elements. Kitchen access and/or optional in-house catering is available; ask us about adding on a private dinner, cocktail party or larger event during your stay! While the house sits prominently along Main Street in a quiet Hudson Valley village under 8 miles East of Hudson, tucked behind the house & hidden from passersby is an expansive, private backyard with an oversized deck overlooking mature maples, evergreens, wildflowers and over 500 feet of lake frontage. Help yourself to our canoe, yard games, charcoal grill & firewood for your own lakeside fire pit. Please note, there is no swimming in the lake, but plenty of swimming options nearby. Guest access All bedrooms are located up one flight of stairs. There is a van accessible parking space, and a wheelchair accessible ramp for entry to the house, restaurant, and the outdoor deck; there is one designated accessible bathroom on the main floor for the restaurant in addition to 2 other bathrooms; guest bedrooms are all located up one flight of stairs and there is no elevator. Each guest bedroom has a full private bathroom; one bedroom has a tiled step in shower rather than a bathtub/shower combo; one bedroom requires one step down to access bathroom. CHEF-SERVICES & EVENTS: We host gatherings of various sizes--from intimate dinners, to micro- and mid-sized weddings, to larger scale cocktail parties. Ask us about adding on private chef services for a dinner party or other meals over your stay! To note, gatherings over the approved number of overnight guests and certain types of gatherings, such as weddings, are considered "Events". We provide in-house catering & staffing for all Events--customizable Event Packages are available--and a Facility Fee may apply. Kindly inquire about details! Third-party vendors (including caterers, private chefs, bartenders, housekeeping services, etc.) are not permitted. All other third-party vendors must be approved in advance with proper insurance in place. LODGING RATES: - Rates are for up to 16 guests - Any approved additional guests (over 16 people) are $80/person x the number of nights of your booking; this fee includes one rollaway, memory foam cot per additional guest. - Otherwise, cots are priced at $40/cot. - Discounts may apply for extended stays. Kindly inquire with your preferred dates for a rate quote.  EARLY SEASON: January to Late May + Mid-November to Late December | Holidays excluded. = $1975/night | 2 night minimum.  EVENT SEASON: Memorial Day Weekend to Early November + the days around and including holidays. Event Season WITH the addition of an eligible EVENT Package (ie. $7500 food & beverage minimum; must be met with a single event) = $2250/night | 2 night minimum; holidays have a 3 night minimum. OR Event Season *WITHOUT the addition of an eligible EVENT Package = $2850/night | 2 night minimum. *Late May - mid-November (and holidays) are our high season for events; for this reason, a higher lodging rate and longer nightly minimum applies for bookings without an eligible food & beverage package during the Event Season. ________________________ LONG-TERM STAYS : Longer term stays may be eligible for a rate discount! Finally, we’re dog friendly!—however, advanced approval is required. There is a maximum of 3 dogs allowed per stay. A Pet Fee of $40/dog applies. For certain breeds that tend to shed more than others, there is an added Cleaning Fee of $150, as the proper removal of pet hair from furniture and rugs can add hours of additional cleaning time.
