Riverside Cottage is a 2 Bedroom charming cottage dating from the 1920's built with the traditional honey coloured Cotswold stone. The house and garden is situated on the river Coln, where you have your own private access to the river, fishing and intimate viewing of the the wildlife. You have exclusive access to the property for your stay to relax outdoors with a BBQ, or cozy up to the wood fire and watch TV or read a book. Just outside the door are a multitude of footpaths and dining. The space The cottage has its own private entrance and private parking. The garden is directly on the river Coln and is ideal for fishing and relaxing. There is plenty of outdoor seating for reading and outdoor games. The setting is perfect for friends, families or couples wanting to explore and unwind in the Cotswolds. You will have exclusive access to the property for your stay. ( ex. one small room locked for owners use) The house has two bedrooms with a full bathroom upstairs and a walk in mud room and toilet downstairs. The updated kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, electric kettle, toaster, small appliances, pots, pans and plenty of cooking utensils, glassware and crockery. There is also a washer/dryer and small seating area. The dining room /sitting room is spacious and seats up to eight people. The focal point of the room is the Aga stove. The living room has two larger leather sofas and a smaller sofa with plenty of cushions, a large flat screen television (sky, Netflix)and fireplace and feels like home away from home with books, games and board games. Upstairs, the main bedroom boasts a king sized bed with plenty of room for a baby travel cot . It is equipped with a large closet with plenty of hanging space in addition to a chest of drawers, dressing table, and bedside tables.The second bedroom has a queen sized bed, wardrobe and a cupboard. Both beds have high quality linens, duvets and pillows that are provided. Both bedrooms share a good sized bathroom with bath, shower and heated towel rail and toiletries and with luxurious towels provided for your comfort. Outside, there is seating for enjoying meals and having BBQ’s and just taking in the peaceful views. The setting is very private while still being in the village and being able to walk to all that Bibury has to offer. Guest access There is private parking spaces for guests just a few steps from the entrance. Local attraction: Bibury Trout farm, Catherine Wheel Pub, Swan Hotel, Post office and store, walking trails just outside the door. Cirencester 6 miles Burford 8 miles Kemble train station 9 miles Train to Paddington :75 minutes Inside the cottage you will find an information packet with house rules, and information about the cottage and plenty of things to do in the area. Other things to note For monthly or longer term rentals, there is an additional cleaning fee. Note: We have a private parking spot for the cottage. As of March 2025 the county has upgraded their road lines and there has been confusion about our parking bay. All issues are resolved with the council, however if a traffic warden is new, they may not be familiar and therefore question the validity of the parking. All they need to do is contact the council for clarification. Please let us know , and we will be sure to contact the council to ensure a stress free stay at Riverside Cottage. The Aga stove is not in use in summers. Winter use optional.
