Welcome to Constable house - Amesbury. A centrally located, newly converted, former police house with excellent links to the A303 and just a 3 minute drive to the prehistoric monument, Stonehenge. The medieval city of Salisbury, home to our beautiful cathedral, is also just a short 10 minute drive. This is an idyllic central location offering ample parking, restaurants, shops, public houses and pretty river walks and we look forward to welcoming you for your stay! The space Please note: For the health and safety of all guests, the property is thoroughly and professionally cleaned between every stay. Built on the cusp of the 19th century, Constable House was once the former police residence of the old Amesbury Police Station. Today, it offers a unique, spacious and character-filled stay right in the heart of Amesbury town centre. With exceptionally high ceilings and an abundance of natural light, the house feels bright, open and welcoming throughout. The 21ft fully equipped kitchen–diner is perfect for couples or families to cook, gather and entertain. Large French doors open onto a generous private courtyard, complete with outdoor seating, BBQ and access to a fire pit. Private parking is located at the rear of the property. ⸻ 🌿 Kitchen & Larder This superb handmade kitchen includes newly fitted shaker-style cupboards, a double oven, hob built into the central island, solid oak worktops and a limestone floor. You’ll also find: • American-style fridge freezer • Microwave • Coffee machine & kettle • Dishwasher • 42” flat-screen TV • Fully stocked non-stick pans, utensils, cutlery & glassware • Herbs, condiments & cooking essentials The adjoining larder houses a washing machine for longer stays (5+ nights — please confirm with host when booking). For extended visits, we provide a welcome basket with fresh local milk, bread, eggs and a few seasonal treats. A solid oak dining table seats up to six, and a high chair can be provided on request. There is also an outdoor dining area for the warmer months. ⸻ 🛋 Lounge A bright and airy living room featuring a bay window with café-style shutters, comfortable seating (sofa, armchair and bean bag), minimalist décor and a 42” smart TV. Please note: the open fire is for display only. ⸻ 🛏 Master Bedroom (Bedroom 1) A spacious master room with a super-comfy king-size bed dressed in freshly laundered luxury linens.
