Tanglewood Inn - Cozy & Beautiful

Enjoy some time away from the hustle and bustle at this unique and tranquil getaway cabin. Located just outside of Fairbanks, on a maintained road with year-round access, this cabin has all the luxuries and a real Alaskan feel. Enjoy the AURORA while on the front porch, sipping your hot cocoa. Take a trip down the road for a dip in the hot springs or a memorable hike at Angel Rocks. Plan for a dog sled ride at a neighborhood outfitter or head to the hills for some snowmachining or 4-wheeling. The space Please ask about our Rental Vehicle availability and allow us to assist you with a vehicle that is well equipped for the interior. The road to the cabin is accessible and maintained year-round. The parking space is large enough for 2 vehicles. Winter warmth is covered for your vehicle with Arctic’s grade extension cords and an outlet to plug in. There is a nice deck with chairs to lounge at the cabin entrance to sit and view the beauty of the Aurora Borealis and small moose ponds are your neighbors. There is a fire ring in the side yard of the cabin for your bonfire fun! Our most exciting addition-- we are now producing our own power with solar energy! Back up grid and generator power keep us running at full capacity no matter the season. Tanglewood Inn is located off a quiet street about 12 miles outside of town where you'll enjoy peaceful days and beautiful views. Just inside the door there's a key hook and a coat tree to hang your coats and hats along with a boot mat to melt those snowy boots in the winter. You'll find the Tanglewood Inn unlocked upon your arrival. The keys to the cabin, guest book, and welcome basket will be waiting for you on the bar. We like to provide you as mush space as we can while you stay, however we are just around the corner if a need arises. The Livingroom boasts 2 comfy recliners and a deluxe queen size futon which sleeps 2 comfortably (pillows, sheets, and comforter provided). There is a queen size air mattress with linens available also. Dimmable lights and a reading lamp allow for setting any stage. There are plenty of throw blankets to cozy up on the futon and enjoy your favorite book, or to chat the hours away. There are tons of games to choose from while burning the midnight oil, some great books to aid in your discovering Alaska, coloring books, crayons, toys, children's books, and even a few games for the kiddos! The bar provides for puzzling, working on your laptop, or for holding the annual monopoly showdown. Just up the diamond willow spiral staircase is a queen bed in the loft with an adjoining bright and convenient half bathroom. Rest well on the memory foam mattress paired with feather pillows and down comforter. The bedside table holds a dimmable reading lamp, candle, fan, and clock radio alarm clock. Unpack to the full size dresser and closet and make yourself at home. In the closet you'll find an ironing board, clothes iron, and dirty clothes hamper. The full length mirror will ensure you are looking your best. There is a washer and dryer with laundering supplies for your use. There is a toddler size cot (75lb weight max) as well as a pack'n'play, with bedding, for your tiny wonders in tow. The Full Kitchen has all the utensils for you to feel right at home. Dishes, silverware, pots and pans, bakeware, toaster, blender, waffle maker, hand mixer, Keurig, an Instapot, tea kettle, paper towels, paper napkins, and the list goes on. You'll find complimentary tea, coffee, creamer, and sugar also. There’s also a small stash of munchables in the cupboard for you help yourself to. There's hot water to use for cooking and dishes, or clean up after dinner using the dishwasher if you'd prefer. The microwave provides a great convenience, and the full size refrigerator/freezer, with ice cube trays, will keep you staying in more; cooking, eating, and being merry together. Enjoy a glass of wine with your meals at the bar while sitting on comfortably cushioned high back stools. The full bathroom on the main level has a full size tub for that nice long soak you've been wishing for; light the candle that’s provided and relax. Keep the steam from the shower at bay by turning on the fan, and the vanity light makes getting ready easy. Plush luxury towels provided as well as shampoo/conditioner, soap, shower gel, lotion, and toothpaste. There will be plenty of toilet paper and facial tissue furnished also. The hair dryer, first aid kit, and sunscreen are under the sink. A small closet on the main level houses the broom, vacuum, fan, and step stool. There are other essential cleaning products available for your use also. Guest access The entire cabin and parking area to the front of the cabin is for your use. There is a small, grassed yard around the cabin in the summer, and awesome mountains of snow piled up for fun sledding in the winter. There is a fire ring where you can have bonfires year-round. There is a dumpster outside for your full trash bags to go which we'll haul away. You'll find the Tanglewood Inn unlocked upon your arrival. The keys to the cabin, welcome book, and goodie basket will be waiting for you on the bar. Other things to note Tanglewood Inn has a running septic system. It is very important that nothing other than toilet paper and human waste are flushed down the toilets. No wipes, no sanitary products, no trash, no Kleenex, no paper towels, etc. The sinks can handle water used for washing, but no food or grease can go down the sinks. The septic system will not function if it is not used appropriately.
