Windy Mane Ranch is located in Roanoke, Texas, the "Unique Dining Capital of Texas". It is convenient to several choice equestrian venues, including Dickies Arena. A barn with up to 4 stalls gives owners a perfect place to rest and prepare for your trips and equestrian events. Contact us for details! The Bunkhouse is the second story STUDIO of the 2-story shop, southwest of the main house. Pets ARE welcome! PLEASE let us know who/what you are bringing and see the ADDITIONAL RULES for details. Our space is clean and quiet (it IS a farm, though, so animals and the tractor will be heard on occasion). It seems to be a great place to rest for people who come in from out of town to, say, work in the industrial complex up the road, or visit family locally (without imposing on their kin). The main house is NOT part of the listing. Only the bunkhouse, and unless you have horses with you, going into any pastures is prohibited. If you do have horses with you, please let us know so we can discuss (SELF-CARE ONLY) accommodations*, vaccinations, and releases to be signed. A single stall is $25 and pasture board is $15 (per animal, per night). Shavings may be purchased for $7/bag. *Due to insurance constraints, our equine facilities are SELF-CARE ONLY.* We would like an ETA so we can have a 2-hour window to meet our guests and show them around! While we intend to be available for our guests in one way or the other, we have arranged things so they can check themselves in, as we are often off the premises, mowing, or working cattle. Please let us know if there are special requests and we will do our best to accommodate you! Our neighborhood is usually quiet, but due to new development north of us and work on Hwy 170 south of us, traffic can be fairly heavy and quick. Please be careful. Please do not park in the grass. Please stay on the driveway. This is especially so with rainy weather... You WILL get stuck in the mud. There is no public transportation near to us. We do have EV charging capability for $10 per night. Please contact us for details and availability. We have "fliers" with vendor listings (e.g., restaurants, attractions) on the coffee table. Most equine folks tend to have their own regimen regarding their horses, so the idea is to be available, but not to interfere.
