We breed and raise cattle on Windy Mane Ranch. Roanoke is the "Unique Dining Capital of Texas". Nearby attractions include the Fort Worth Stockyards and Texas Motor Speedway. The Bunkhouse is the 2nd story STUDIO of a 2-story shop, southwest of the house. Pets welcome! We have dogs, cats, chickens, and horses, so PLEASE let us know who/what you are bringing so we can ensure the comfort and safety of everyone (person & animal) on the ranch. Read the Additional Rules carefully before reserving. The space Our space is clean and quiet (it IS a ranch, though, so animals and the tractor will be heard on occasion). It seems to be a great place to rest for people who come in from out of town to, say, work in the industrial complex up the road, or visit family locally (without imposing on their kin). Guest access The main house is NOT part of the listing. Only the bunkhouse, and unless you have horses with you, going into any pastures is prohibited. If you do have horses with you, please let us know so we can discuss (SELF-CARE ONLY) accommodations*, vaccinations, and releases to be signed. A single stall is $25 and pasture board is $15 (per animal, per night). Shavings may be purchased for $7/bag. *Due to insurance constraints, our equine facilities are SELF-CARE ONLY.* Other things to note Most equine folks tend to have their own regimen regarding their horses, so the idea is to be available, but not to interfere.
