Barn cottage sits right in the centre of Youlgrave, minutes walk from a cafe, village shop and two great pubs. It's charming on the outside and lovely and comfortable inside. Beautiful aged beams meet new and modern furnishings, yet keeping all the charm of cottage living. Walks in abundance and splendid scenery on the doorstep. Chatsworth, Bakewell, and many towns and attractions all within a few miles. It really is the perfect base to explore the Peak District. The space You will enter the cottage into the spacious kitchen with its bright quartz worktops and large dining table. It’s a very well stocked space with washing machine and dishwasher and brand new utensils and full range of cookware. Tea, coffee, sugar provided and a welcome gift for guests and doggies. Then through to the good sized lounge which looks out through large windows onto Fountain Square. It’s cosy coal effect fire sits within a large stone fireplace with the 50 inch smart TV wall mounted above. ( Free wifi). The open plan staircase leads to the main bedroom which boasts a super comfy king size bed with Emma mattress, wardrobe, drawers, dressing table, smart TV and full ensuite shower room. Quality bed linen and towels provided. Blackout skylight blinds promote a restful sleep. The double bedroom with a charming ‘ birds’ theme and comfort mattress has drawers, mirror and hanging space within the wardrobe on the landing. Again, a blackout skylight blind in place. The large main bathroom situated next to the double bedroom has a bath and over bath shower. The landing perfectly separates the bedrooms making it feel private for couples holidaying together. Centrally heated throughout. Immediately outdoors is your courtyard area with a table and four chairs sitting within the shared courtyard. The cottage sits back off the main road with the central Fountain in view from the lounge windows. Next door there is a newly refurbished cafe for eating indoors or to takeaway. The fresh bread baked daily is delicious. The cottage may not be suitable for people with mobility issues but please enquire and i can assess the suitability on an individual basis for you. Enjoy! Guest access Barn cottage sits within a shared courtyard. There is parking for a small car ( Citroen C1 size). You could also park beyond the gate but this is not guaranteed. Plenty of free on street parking and a car park within the village. The whole cottage is yours for the duration of your stay. There is a key safe to left of the front door/kitchen window with a four digit combination. I will send you this combination number a few days prior to your stay. Other things to note Please be aware, especially if you are bringing your doggy companion, that Barn Cottage shares a gated courtyard with neighbours. Dogs must be supervised. There may be other dogs at our neighbours property and you must be a responsible dog owner. Dogs are to be kept downstairs and are not be left alone in the property. Infants and children are your full responsibility and must be supervised by an adult at all times. There are currently no stair gates/cots in the property. A maximum of two dogs aged above 1 year old are allowed at a cost of £20 per stay. Thank you.
