Grain Loft

Warborne Farm is blessed with a fine range of traditional agricultural buildings that have been sympathetically converted into high quality farm stays, using traditional materials and incorporating features that reflect their history from 180 years of continual use. Situated just outside Lymington, in the New Forest National Park and close to the sea, Warborne is the ideal base from which to explore this stunning area The space Where farming gets quirky - The Grain Loft raises excitement levels with a walk on window – you can see down into the nursery stable below which, depending upon the time of year has freshly hatched chicks, Snowgoose goslings, Swiss Valais lambs or Boer kids being born. The other unique feature is the hay mattress beds in stall partitions, and the cosiness factor is increased further by liberal use of sheep skins from our own flock. The original pulley system is still in place, but instead of hauling up hessian sacks of grain to be stored, we have draped a cluster of light bulbs through it Throughout the year there are opportunities to get involved with feeding livestock, notably carrots to the pigs, and bottle feeding of orphan lambs, calves or kids (baby goats – not ones that have been left behind!) Help yourself to eggs, seasonal veg and fruit. Sleeps up to 8 Double/twin room double room, which opens through a mini doorway into: 4 bed dorm with hay mattresses (complete with ox-eye dailies, ladies bedstraw and other wild flowers from our meadows) and an old clothes cart Loo/bathroom Loo/shower reclaimed mill board flooring, with traditional radiators Living area includes Clearview wood burning stove (wood and kindling provided), digital TV and open access wifi . Guest access There is ample parking onsite. Footpaths run through the property connecting you to both the New Forest and Lymington. Other things to note We provide a games room with table tennis table, for guests to use. A laundry with washing machines (and powder), a dryer, hanging, iron and baskets unlimited supply of kindling and wood; There are extra loos and showers – in case one of your family is hogging the ones in your barn! We can provide BBQs and braziers for outdoor dining Each barn has a basket for harvesting vegetables Large shared garden with garden furniture to enjoy your BBQ in the evening sun
