The ~330sq ft "Chic-Garage" is recently remodeled with an "On the Go" kitchenette & ‘secret garden.’ Queen Bed, couch, skylights with blackout blinds & patio furniture to relax. Great place to unwind after a day of sightseeing, hiking regional parks or work. Easy base for day trips to SF or other attractions in the Bay Area without the crazy prices. The space Private entrance: SELF- CHECK-IN APP required for codes. Quiet, family friendly neighborhood "On the Go Kitchenette" with microwave, toaster, mini fridge, coffee maker & electric tea kettle. Plates, utensils, bowls, drinking glasses, & mugs, are provided. Not a full kitchen, no stovetop (no pots/pans provided). Recently remodeled Stylish bathroom Beautiful organic garden Table/lap top friendly space The guest suite is attached to our home with shared walls. (Closet and mud room in between for even more privacy). Street Parking : Parking in front of our home vs the side is preferred (by neighbors). There is plenty of free street parking. It is each guest’s responsibility to pay attention to city signage regarding street-cleaning/parking ordinances/ resident parking. Street sweeping 9a-12pm 2nd Wednesdays & Thursday each month (depending on the side of the street). NO SMOKING inside our home OR in the Garden/on our property. No vaping inside the home. You may step outside the gate if you must smoke. Dispose of your butts carefully and appropriately as a small spark is all it takes to create another huge fire in the area. No extra guests, no unregistered guests, no third party bookings or events, no parties/gatherings, no exceptions. If you have a guest, they either must join the reservation and be vetted by AirBnB or they must upload a valid government ID to the messaging app. This is a security measure for us as this is our private home. We have the right to cancel without refund if these basic home rules are not respected. Guest access The entire room & backyard/patio furniture. For guests staying >8 days, we offer to to switch out sheets/towels half way through your stay. Other things to note We offer wi-fi, however, as we work from home often, sometimes into the evening and occasional weekends, we ask that guests do not game/constant downloading as this interferes with the bandwidth & our ability to work. Basic emails, zoom meetings, web surfing, netflix, etc is not a problem. If there is any suspicious activity noted, we reserve the right to enter the suite. Occasionally we will ask for a "walk through" with a guest prior to departure. This is the Bay Area... it is cool every night (pretty much every evening through late morning all year long). In winter/spring we keep the heat bw 68-72F; the room is fully insulated. Please come prepared with thick socks/house slippers (tile floor) and light jackets/sweater/sweatshirt for comfort. Heating in the Bay Area is different then the East Coast/South and southern CA... it is a cool climate. Come prepared. (The heat is not turned on during summer months). *** This property is privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. The home is not child proofed. The guardians/parents of children are responsible for the safety of their children in this home if they choose to bring them. The homeowners are also not responsible for inconveniences caused by mother nature during your stay. (California is an earthquake & fire prone state with occasional power outages which is out of our control). By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests (including minors) are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.*** Parties & extra guests (anyone not registered) are not allowed, no exceptions. Please note, crime can happen everywhere. Whether in SF, Oakland, Berkeley, etc, car break ins are not infrequent. Do not leave anything in your car while visiting the area (whether you book with us or not). We ask for an incidentals refundable fee of $300 that will be requested after booking and paid through Airbnb’s resolution center. It will be returned in full the same way within 5-7 days (usually earlier) assuming everything is ok. (We have always reimbursed this so far). We are happy to welcome you to your private garden oasis. By choosing to stay here and we expect guests to follow our house/property rules. Looking forward to hosting you.
