The building is within walking distance of most tourist sites including Beale Street, the National Civil Rights Museum, Sun Studio, Rock & Soul Museum, the Memphis Music Hall of Fame, Mud Island, the Pyramid, and the Mississippi River! Enjoy the duck parade at Peabody Hotel. Walk to many cafes and restaurants. As far as parking, there are 3 options: (1) Metered Street Parking: Street parking meters run 8 am- 6 pm and cost $1.50/hour (free on Sunday & holidays). (2) Garage Parking: - 21 South Second Street (next to the building): $20/ day, pay per entry. - 193 Madison Ave (5 min walk): $8/day, unlimited entries. (3) Parking Lot: there is a large parking lot right across the building. It offers hourly and daily parking. The daily cost is $12/day. Central parking is located at 157 Court Avenue. ** Monthly rates of $45/month available at the Indigo Hotel (1 block away).** Uber/Lyft are also available! The average cost from the airport is $15. Other things to note Please keep in mind that this building is over 100 years old and is located downtown, which means it could be loud and noisy at night on the weekends. Also, common areas could possibly have a cigarette smell, even though my house rules are strict and have a no-smoking rule, but unfortunately, the smell in common areas is not under my control. Due to the age of the building (over 100 years old) and the sheer size (over 200 units), you may see occasional pests inside the unit. We perform regular pest control but cannot guarantee that the apartment will be completely pest free.
