Hi! Welcome to our place which is located on the quiet outskirts of Jaisalmer yet is 10 mins driving distance from the Jaisalmer Fort (860-year-old UNESCO World Heritage Site). We have designed this place myself keeping the theme traditional Rajasthani while keeping it abreast with modern amenities. We started Hosting when my father motivated me to do it since he had been hosting since 1970. The view of the Fort from the rooftop is Breath-Taking and you can soak in and relax while you're here! The space The Place: This place of ours is a resemblance of a Traditional Haveli with antique 'Jharokhas' (Balconies) & traditional Rajasthani artifacts and Paintings adorning the walls of the building. We designed this pace myself and got it constructed in 1999 and have been satisfying our love of meeting new people by hosting here since then. Though we designed it keeping the Traditional Rajasthani Theme in mind, we made sure to keep it abreast with modern amenities and luxury. The view from the rooftop is that of the Sunrise & Sunset, The Jaisalmer Fort, The Gadisar Lake (An Artificial Man-Made lake made on the order of His Highness of Jaisalmer in 17th Century). The place is not only serene but also has an amazing aesthetic feel to it. You can Sit, Relax & Soak in the environment while watching the Sunset from the rooftop. The Room: The room being shown here is one of our special rooms and is called the “The Sandstone Room”. It is called "The Sandstone Room" because the stone used to make the room is the authentic Jaisalmer Sandstone which is very rare. The use of the sandstone gives a rustic feel to it giving an aesthetic feel to it. The room is adorned with modern amenities and comes with access to high-speed Wi-Fi. The mattress is quite comfortable and since it being queen size, can easily accommodate 2 people. A stay here will surely enthrall you and will leave you asking for more. The area: Our place is situated 10 mins driving distance from the Jaisalmer Fort which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is not only one of the largest Fort in the country but it is also the largest living fort in the whole of Asia. Since we're located a bit on the outskirts, the hustle-bustle of the city is something that you'll be free from yet being close enough to experience the calm that the silence around our place offers. The surroundings include The Gadisar Lake which is 5 mins walking distance from here which offers serene and peaceful environment. Amenities: -The bathroom is having access to 24 hours Hot & Cold water along with all the other modern amenities. -There is high-speed internet & WiFi which you can access from the room. -The TV in the room has access to 200+ channels. -There are bedside lamps for your reading comfort. -The mattress in the room is a spring 8-inch thick mattress for a comfortable sleep. -The Desk/Work Space in the room is there for your working comfort. -The electric kettle in the room is there for your to make your Tea/Coffee. -The Wardrobe in the room is available for you to keep your clothing in. -The Air Conditioning in the room can cool the room to the desired temperature in a few minutes. -Doctor on Call -Guide provided on request Proximity: Our place is located near the Jaisalmer Fort, just a 10 mins drive from there and all the major tourist attractions such as the Old Market called "Bazaar", Amar Sagar, The "Patwaon ki Haveli", The "Nathmal Ki Haveli", Numerous Jain Temples, The Gadisar Lake and many more things are in a 1km vicinity of my place. The Royal Cenotaphs (Called the "Bada Bagh") & the abandoned villages of "Kuldhara" & "Khaba" which are not only major tourist attractions but also have a big historical importance to Jaisalmer are located between 5-15kms of vicinity from here. Also, the train station & the bus stand are 10 mins driving distance from here. Things to note: The charge here is inclusive of: *Free Pick-up services to the train station & the bus stand *Welcome drinks such as Traditional Rajasthani “Masala Chai” and Coffee. Unique Specialty: Our place is unique for its cultural heritage and the history that is associated with it. Guest access Guests have access to the whole house including the Courtyard, the dining hall & the rooftop. Other things to note *We organize Desert Safaris which are totally off-the-beaten track and will leave you asking for more. It will start from your transfer via Jeep to a quiet and traditional village where you’ll not only see how the locals live but will also experience a brilliant camel safari on Dunes. The safari would include – Sunset on the Dunes, Dinner in the desert, and a night under the stars which would be followed by breakfast and then a ride back via Jeep. Be assured that for you, it will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. *We also organize one night stays in Luxury Swiss tents which you can also avail on request. Kindly note that tents are in high demand during the season (Oct-Feb), so we would request you to book them at the earliest.
