Apple Tree Cabin (Friendship Land)

The cabin is located in a remote quiet place, perfect for nature lovers. It was built in a tree and has a view over the Southern part of the Făgăraș Mountains. We have no electricity but but we have a solar photovoltaic system. We have no running water, no bathroom, but we have a composting toilet and a shared shower so you can feel closer to nature. You can make a barbeque, a camp fire, relax in the hammock take long walks and enjoy the silence. Our pets will be more than happy to play with you The space Our off grid location was built with respect and love to our planet, by reusing old wood, doors and other materials. We encourage water conservation, waste reduction and minimal energy usage. The cabin is insulated and heated. The outdoor shower is shared between the 4 cabins on the property. The water can be heated by making a fire in the little stove below the water tank. Please be aware that since we have a tree inside the cabin, you might sometimes see ants or other small insects, usually during spring and summer time, which are harmless. We have 4 cabins on the property, one of them is Apple Tree Cabin, but the distance between them is around 100 m, so each guest can have its' privacy. Each cabin has a designated place for barbeque and camp fire. We provide the grill and cooking utensils. Please note that we only provide the wood for heating the cabin. For the camp fire and grill, you can search for wood on the property (in the woods) or bring your own wood. We also provide plates, cups, wine glasses, cutlery, wine opener, salt, sugar, oil, vinegar and coffee. We provide water that you can use for washing hands and dishes in a 15l container, and we also have a fountain if you need more, but the water is not good to drink. !!During winter time, the shower is out of use if the temperatures are below 0 degrees!! You'll also find hand soap, dish detergent and sponges. If you are coming in the cold season, we will leave the water recipient empty otherwise the water will froze. You can always take water from the fountain from the property. We don't allow cars inside the yard so the cars will be parked on the side of the road, next to the fence. The road is quiet and safe, without too much traffic. Other things to note We do not provide towels. No towels are offered.
