A wonderful large house for groups of family and friends. The main house has 10 bedrooms for 21 guests. The house has fantastic spaces for entertaining; a large dining room for great celebration dinners, a party room for dancing with air-conditioning - so you just plug in your music and go. There is a 4 acre walled garden beside the mill waterway (unfenced) for fun and games - we'll set up the croquet if you fancy trying that, or bring a football for a kick about. If the weather's a bit dodgy, no problem, we have a big games room with a pool table, table tennis and table football - it can get quite competitive and very absorbing! When it's time to relax, sink into the squashy sofas in the drawing room with the log fire burning or watch a movie on the big screen in the party room. If you love to cook the kitchen is very well set up for you with plenty of fridges, 2 dishwashers and a large range cooker. But, if you want your stay to be fully catered, or a bit of both, we have some great local chefs who will come to the house and prepare anything from a buffet lunch to a gourmet feast. When it's time for bed, your group will have the choice of bedrooms, reflecting the history of this house, dating back 200 years. The beds are all made up for you with crisp linen and we supply super, soft bath & hand towels for everyone and towels for the hot tub. If you want to add more entertainment into your stay, do get in touch for ideas of what's available locally - there's a surprisingly large range. PRICES FOR HOUSE & STABLES: Prices shown here are for the main house only. However, you can also hire the Stables which sleeps a further 10 to increase your total number to 31. We only ever have 1 group here at a time, so it's always exclusive to you, whether you book the Stables or not - we think you shouldn't have to share your Big House experience with anyone else! Please message us before you book, if you are a group under 30 years old, or a stag/hen group. Please note for stag and hen parties there is a cautionary deposit of £1500 (other groups £1000). The space It's a delightful property that combine it's 200 year history with great modern day facilities for get togethers of family & friends. Large spaces for entertaining, dining, fun & games. Lots of bedrooms for your guests to stay in comfort. Many of the beds are zip and link, so can be either 6ft double or 3ft single. There is a party room which is ideal for dancing after a delicious dinner, an enormous games room and a big garden for those sunny days when you want to be outside. The kitchen is well equipped for self catering but if you prefer we can put you in touch with our handpicked local caterers. Guest access Guests have exclusive use of the whole property. If the separate Stables have not been hired by your group, they are never let to another group, so your stay with us always remains exclusive. We have a small office (weekdays) at the property, but we work remotely when guests are in residence. Other things to note Please ensure that children and animals are supervised at all times in the grounds, due to the unfenced waterway and the hot tub.
