Beautiful Treetop Retreat: Family & Pet-Friendly

Welcome to Hickory Pines Lodge, a charming cabin perched high in the hills of Lake Arrowhead. Inside the residence you’ll find vintage collections and casual, camp-style decorating that will take you back to a simpler time. The large deck and spacious living spaces make this a perfect destination for your vacation getaway. Amenities include a full kitchen, washer/dryer and baby gear which makes it a very family friendly locale. Enjoy a BBQ on the deck in the summer and sledding in the winter. The space Lake Access: Yes! Our guests have access to the lake and trails! See below for more details! The cabin accommodates a max of 8 adults, not including children. We provide a Pack N' Play, if there are more infants you will need to bring extra equipment. 9 people total (Infants do not count). We recommend bringing your own bedding for the Pack N' Play. Ours comes with a mattress so your baby will be comfortable. Please reach out to me during your stay if you will be using our Pack N' Play so I can send you a how to video on how to set it up. We are a pet friendly cabin. We require our guests to disclose this before your stay. Guests who bring pets will be charged an additional cleaning fee. If you bring a dog without disclosing you will still be charged the cleaning fee. Guests must pick up after their dog and discard waste properly. Please make sure your pets are house trained as well. Our deck has a retractable baby gate so your pet is free to roam safely. We also have doggy bowls so you don't need to bring your own. No more than two pets allowed in the cabin. Please be advised that the fee is 75.00 for one pet and 100.00 for two. We are a wheelchair friendly cabin that is step free. On our main floor we have our, living space, kitchen, a bedroom, and restroom. Please note there are no bars in the restroom. We've had many guests who have been able to come and enjoy our cabin. Our front door entrance is 32 inches wide. We also have an entrance on our deck that has a sliding door that can accommodate larger wheelchairs and scooters. If your party has any mobility issues, please let me know ahead of time, so I can have our deck furniture moved out of the way so scooters and wheelchairs can access our deck. Please note our cabin is an A frame cabin. Due to high ceilings our top floor may take time to cool down in the summer and warm up in the winter. We have central air conditioning and heating in the cabin. In addition we have provided fans in each room for those warm summer nights, and lots of blankets and space heaters in the winter. BBQing is only permitted in the designated BBQ provided by our cabin! Please leave your own BBQ'S at home. We do not allow personal BBQ's as it is a liability. We do not allow smoking in our property. We have provided ash trays outside on our deck. Please use them. Do not throw your cigarettes in the forest. This is a liability. Our fireplace is wood-burning, firewood can be purchased from the local grocery stores, there is no gas hook up to our fireplace so you will need a fire starter. Duraflame logs are perfect and can do the trick. Check out our new gas burning fire pit, lined with fire proof lava rocks. All you need is a lighter and you're ready to roast marshmallows by the fire. Please note you will NOT need fire wood for this. It is FORBIDDEN by San Bernardino county to have a real burning wood fire in the forest, which is why we have provided a gas fire pit. The county is VERY vigilant and fines can exceed to more than $20,000. We will not be liable if you light the forest on fire. DO NOT leave your children unattended by the fire. Adult supervision (18+) is required at all times. Our kitchen is equipped with standard pots, pans, and dishware suitable for both families and children. Please note that we do not provide cooking oil, aluminum foil, or plastic wrap, spices, as these are not part of our standard provisions. If you find yourself in need of any additional supplies, Cedar Glenn Fine Foods Market is just down the street and should have everything you need. In the event of stormy/snowy weather, guests are advised to have AWD or 4 Wheel drive vehicles and carry chains or cables. We advise our guests to get Ice Melt from the local grocery store. Jensens is located down the street, and or Stater Brothers in The Village. The Ice Melt will help you incase of a snowstorm so you can get out of the driveway. We do have snow shovels and windshield scrapers, on the property for you to use as well located in the Build Up. We have sleds and snow toys available to our guests, no need to bring your own. This is the perfect cabin for all ages to include kids. We have included outdoor swings for infants and kids, highchairs, stroller, booster seats, kiddie plates and utensils! Our deck has a baby proofing gate as well. Guest access Guests will be able to access the entire property, with the exception of some storage located in our Build Up. Please note- ONE Car may be parked at the top of the property. Loading and unloading is fine. We have 2 additional parking spaces located in the half circle driveway at the bottom of the property. We ask our guests to park multiple cars at the bottom of the property. Electric vehicles: There are charging stations available in the Lake Arrowhead Village. If you do charge your vehicle at the property, please expect that we will charge an additional 30.00 fee to your reservation. Our cabin is close to nature and is no stranger to cute critters! We are visited frequently by foxes, squirrels, and deer oh my! Please note be BEAR AWARE. Do not leave ANY food items in your car! Our cabin is ideal for large groups. Looking to travel with multiple groups (15+) our neighbor across the street has a cabin available as well. To book both cabins send me an inquiry happy to coordinate large stays! Please note for major holidays we will need to coordinate in advance, as our cabins do get booked rather quickly. We are also in prime location to other shops, restaurants, and places of interest. The Lake Arrowhead Village just finished some new renovations! Check it out. - Located one block away from Miller's Landing wedding venue. - We have a Jensen's, Hair Salons, and Vintage shops, restaurants, located right down the street. We’re excited to share that guests no longer need to purchase wristbands to enjoy Lake Arrowhead’s beautiful lake and trails! This new process makes it much easier for you to access the area during your stay. Please note: The swimming areas available to you are not part of the private beach clubs, but designated areas that are open to short-term rental guests. If you’d like to visit local beaches or hike around the lake, just follow these simple steps: 1. Send us the names and email addresses of all guests over 18 who would like access. 2. Look out for an email from the Arrowhead Lake Association (ALA) with safety rules and a waiver to sign. 3. Bring the lake passes (hanging in our kitchen) with you whenever you visit the beaches or trails—these passes are required to unlock the gates. We’ll also send you detailed instructions on where to park and how to find the access gates. Let us know if you have any questions—we’re happy to help you make the most of your time at the lake!
