Gorgeous Retreat Home in the Jemez Mountains
This one of a kind, gorgeous retreat is perfect for a getaway to breathe in the air and watch the stars while exploring the Santa Fe Mountains. This two-story home includes a meditation room, 1 acre of fully fenced land, and amenities for your arrival for you to feel at home. Also includes hi-speed wifi via Starlink for your connection needs! The space About this space: This two story place has kitchens on both floors, and there's only one shower on the bottom floor, but a wonderful large tub on the 2nd floor. You get views of the mountains every morning from the upper floor. It has one acre fenced in for your furry friends or wandering little ones. Getting there: There is a steep incline for 3/4 mile on a dirt road. You may need 4WD in snow or ice. Otherwise the road is accessible by all cars in good weather. The space The cabin has both electric and forced hot air heating system fired by propane & guests control the thermostat. All of our cleaning supplies are non-toxic and earth-friendly. We also provide bathroom and shower supplies when you are here. We provide wifi and long-distance domestic calls on the landline. No smoking inside, but there is an ashtray on the deck for your convenience. I have ultra high speed internet via Starlink, which makes for great streaming, calls, and working if you need. Your cell phone reception, if any, will be poor. There is no TV, but you can bring movies loaded on your laptop. The home is less than a 1/2 a mile off the highway. Once you leave the highway, the roads are steep and not paved. You will need four-wheel-drive if there is any kind of snow or ice. Guest access: Parking is abundant in our driveway, and can fit about 3 cars. The front door of the cabin is your private entrance. Amenities include an Instant Pot, microwave, convection/toaster oven, coffee machine & other small appliances. Kitchen is fully-stocked with cookware, dishes, glasses, etc., as well as some basic essentials like coffee, tea, cooking oil, salt, pepper, sugar. We recommend you bring groceries as shopping options are limited in our rural community. Other things to note: We are 3/4 mile from Route 4, just north of the Soda Dam at mile marker #19, just 3 miles from the Jemez Springs bath house and the village square. Many other local tourist attractions include Fenton Lake, Battleship Rock, the Jemez River, the Valles Caldera, Jemez Monument, Zen Bodhi center, Gilman Tunnels, Jemez Pueblo in the Red Rocks, various art galleries, natural hot springs and many hiking trails. Or you can simply watch the raptors soar through our canyons during the day and count falling stars at night.
