New 6-person hot tub with a view! 1 hour to Conway, NH & White Mtns. 45 min to ocean beaches. The space Cottage is on Lake Arrowhead, with miles of lake to explore. Perfect for a relaxing spring or summer getaway, fall foliage weekend, or winter ice fishing and nordic skiing expeditions. Have a new (spring 2022) 6-person hot tub. *Brand new wood flooring upstairs in January 2023* Newly painted living room, kitchen, bathrooms. Kitchen table has leaves and can seat up to 10. Basement with new floors, new memory-foam sleeper-sofa all in April 2022. The backyard has a picnic table, Adirondack chairs, hammock, grill. This is where you'll want to be all summer long! The side yard has a garden area, lake access and a dock. Access to Lake Arrowhead clubhouses, with indoor pools/gyms/recreation tables, is included in the rental. Although the house can sleep 8 people if sleeper sofa is used, two families might be cozy in the winter months. In summer, there's plenty of outdoor space for spreading out. New washer/dryer units March 2023. Property is owned and managed by real people, not a company. We care deeply about this space and your enjoyment of it. You're welcome to reach out during your stay, as needed. Guest access We have a key pad on the door with a code. Parking is easy, accommodating three cars with ease, more with a little creativity. We are one of three houses on a rural wooded cul-de-sac. Very little traffic, lots of privacy. Other homes are nearby and visible through the trees. Noise and loud parties are not permitted. Campfires can _only_ be permitted in enclosed pits. We will have a portable fire pit available for use. Other things to note To allow later-than-normal departure and early check-in, we ask that you either bring your own linens (sheets & towels) or plan to wash/dry/fold any linens of ours that you use. Contact us directly regarding departure/check-in times. * NEW washer & dryer March 2023!* Please plan your departure time to allow for this laundry task. A towel or two left in the washer after last-minute use is no problem- just let us know they're there so we can take care of them. Bedroom closets have extra blankets & sheets, board games, an iron, hangers, and leaves for the dining room table. There are no personal items in the closets; any that are forgotten by guests are donated promptly. Any powerboats are supposed to be registered with the State of Maine. Please let us know if you'll be bringing watercraft and we'll work with you on this. Kayaks, canoes, floats shouldn't need registration. Hunting is not permitted in the homeowners association around Lake Arrowhead. That said, it is indeed Maine and likely there will be hunting in approved locations within earshot during the fall hunting season. You are welcome to use our watercraft, which will vary somewhat over time, but will usually include a canoe, two small kayaks, life jackets, and a variety of floats. Please secure a Maine fishing license and bring your own poles, if applicable (permits available online). We have two security cameras onsite, mostly to monitor the property when guests are _not_ there. If you have privacy concerns, just let us know and we can work something out.
