The space Two private floors of a unique country house; top floor guest suite & a ground floor apartment with a total of 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, balcony, an outdoor kitchen, a big living space, all in about 1,700ft2. The house has a total of 3 floors one of which is the owners self-contained private apartment. You've also a patio & garden for your exclusive use plus other shared gardens all in a walled & gated compound. The atmosphere is cool & private with beautiful hill views over a stream or lake (seasonal flood), often with mist or cloud hiding in the hills. On both floors: All four bathrooms have essentials included: freshly laundered towels, soaps, body washes, tissues, shampoos & conditioners. All four bedrooms with bedding including pillows, bolster, blankets, extra pillows & freshly laundered sun & air dried bed linen. There’s a strip of 4 universal power sockets plus 2 USB ports for your charging convenience at your finger tips in all 4 rooms. You have free 24 hour WI-FI. The guest suite: Your own floor of about 645ft2 has 2 private bedrooms, a hall and a balcony; the (replanted) rosewood furniture includes comfortable double beds, one king size the other queen size; your two bedrooms have both air-conditioning and ceiling fans. Your two private bathrooms have modern ceramics, hot water showers; basins, big mirrors & mirror lights & large double windows with insect screens, security bars and solid teak shutters; you've a drying rail for hanging wet towels or wet clothes. You also have seating & coffee tables for relaxing, wardrobes with hangers & one extra bed is available to order. The bedroom windows have insect screens and solid teak shutters (for sleep-in darkness) and the master bedroom windows are also glazed; the windows and the balcony have a safety grill as it is high. There's a small private hall way/living space where you can prepare your breakfast. Security features include locks on the bedroom & bathroom doors, window bars, 3 pin shuttered electrical sockets with switches & a stair gate to provide you with a sense of safety. There are three electrical shuttered sockets in the rooms and another two in the connected private hall. The apartment: your own private spacious apartment (1,100ft2) has its own private entrances from the gardens, two cool airy bedrooms have both air-conditioning and ceiling fans & big bathrooms attached, your own private living & dining space & outdoor kitchen. Your master bedroom has (replanted) rosewood furniture including a comfortable king-sized double bed; your twin room has two comfortable single beds made from trees from our gardens; both rooms have wardrobes with hangers and luggage racks. Your big bathrooms have modern ceramics, hot water showers & grab bars (the master bathroom also has a cold rain shower); basins, mirrors, twin mirror lights & exhaust fans; there are rails for hanging OR drip drying towels & wet clothes. The differences between your two bedrooms in the apartment are: Master bedroom has a two-seater with coffee table & various books; you've a full length mirror; the glazed windows have both curtains and insect screens. Take just four steps on the small patio, then through the narrow door then you're in the big living space; on the patio there is also an outdoor sink. In your twin room are large windows with solid teak blackout shutters & insect screens; big mirror; it's just two steps through the narrow door to the big living space; on the patio there is a garden table and benches also a water tap. Your big living space is suitable for events for up to about 15 persons; there's a large dining table & seating and another laptop friendly table; on a raised section there are throw cushions & stylish triangular Thai cushions & a coffee table on a mat for relaxing with a book or laptop. Attached to the living space you've a fully equipped outdoor kitchen where you can prepare and enjoy your breakfast or takeaways for example (if you like to try more serious cookery please let me know when booking); you'll find all the cooking basics including a hob, an electric kettle, a grill/toaster, utensils, table ware & your own big fridge there is stocked with free bottled water & fresh milk; free coffee, tea & unlimited filtered drinking water are on the shelf for you on the stand next to your fridge, all self-service. Security features include locks on the bedroom doors, window bars, insect screens, 3 pin shuttered power sockets with switches & a gated compound to provide you with a good sense of safety. There are six electrical sockets & six lights all with safety pull switches in the master bedroom and four lights and sockets in the other bedroom. Your apartment has two small patios, one small private garden with patio, table & benches as well as shared rear and front gardens with seating. The living space and bedrooms have high ceilings & good ceiling fans; floor standing fans are included too. Wake up to some delightful bird songs (real not reel) or catch some awesome scents of the flowers in bloom. Let your senses re-calibrate & get in tune with nature; stay 2-3 days & make your visit more worthwhile. You have free parking on the premises or free roadside parking in front of the house with CCTV. Villa Scenns is a unique, substantial, brick & terracotta cool country house designed & built by the current owner in 2009 in its own private gated compound. Guest access You have exclusive private access to the top guest suite and the ground floor apartment. The large kitchen and dining area is suitable for Scenns private cooking services if required (by appointment). You have access from the gates to the front garden, seating & parking area; your private access to your ground floor apartment is from the gardens & your access to the top floor guest suite is by the main front door and hallway leading to your private staircase for your bedrooms, balcony, hall & bathrooms; the bathrooms are off the small hall about 10 steps from your bedrooms. If you like to see the larger "chaos" garden please call me first to guide you for your safety; many exotic plants grow easily here including Passion fruit vines, Cashew, Lemon grass, Turmeric, Papaya, Lime, pink Guava, Kaffir lime, Cinnamon, Lemon, Sesame & much more. Other things to note If you might like to use our hair dryer, iron, coffee filter or BBQ grill, please ask me for these. Affordable laundry & mobile phone cash top-up machines 70 meters from Villa Scenns; clothes drying: you can sun dry clothes on the metal bar dryer at Villa Scenns. You can find us in Sangkhlaburi district part of Kanchanaburi province (not to be confused with Kanchanaburi town the capital of the Kanchanaburi province). Tribulations; as electricity generators and internet servers are far away through hundreds of miles of jungle, utility cuts can happen occasionally, usually not for long; voltages fluctuate & water flow can slow sometimes too as in many countryside spots in Thailand. We hope you won't notice any of these but please be patient in case. Mobile phone coverage is usually constant so keeping your SIM topped up is not a bad idea in case internet is down.
