The Aves Tropicales rural cabin is part of the Casa Rural Maxcanú: lodging and art gallery. It is equipped with a ceiling fan, air conditioning, minibar, two double beds, a large hammock, a work table and its own bathroom. It has a cool terrace with hammocks and a living room. It has access to the common areas of Casa Rural Maxcanú: living room, kitchen, dining rooms, library, garden and rest areas. It is located in Maxcanú, Yucatán, where there is a Mayan Train station The space The accommodation is a spacious rural home, ideal for rest, relaxation, meditation and recreation, but also with conditions to work. It has large orchards and gardens to rest, read or play, living room, dining rooms, kitchen, library, rest areas with hammocks (palapas). The cabin and the other spaces of the house form an art gallery with works by important painters. Each space in the house is a themed room in the art gallery: the Ja'abin cabin is the Tropical Birds room. The accommodation is attended by a university professor, a rural teacher and her 12-year-old daughter, who guide and support you in the activities to be carried out in Maxcanú and its surroundings. Maxcanú is a rural town with all the amenities, totally safe, and soon a Mayan Train station will be in operation that will connect the entire southeast of the country. The villagers are respectful and hospitable. The property is fully fenced and has video surveillance systems for optimal guest safety. Maxcanú can be reached by public transport (buses and vans) or private transport. It is an hour from the city of Mérida, an hour from the city and port of Campeche, 45 minutes from the Archaeological Zone of Uxmal and an hour from the port of Celestún. Maxcanú is home to the Mayan city of Oxkintok and there are numerous caves with archaeological remains, which can be reached on foot or by bicycle. The hosts participate in a group of grotto explorers and guide visitors through two circuits: Maxcanú Grottoes and Oxkintok Grottoes. Food service can be requested in advance at the house. The specialty is the rich and traditional Mayan cuisine of Yucatan, and allergies and dietary restrictions are taken into account. Bicycle rental service is offered to get around Maxcanú and its surroundings, including the only mountain in Yucatán that starts right in Maxcanú, which is called "puuc" in Mayan. Guest access When renting the Ja'abin Cabin, guests have access to all the common areas of the Maxcanú Rural House. During your stay I give my guests independence but I am available if they need me. If you need it, I can help you organize your stay in the town (Mayan city of Oxkintok, grottos, market, cemetery, cultivation plots) and your trips to Mérida, Campeche, Isla Arena, the port of Celestún, Uxmal and other areas of the Yucatan Peninsula
