Country Cabin near Colorado Bend State Park

Welcome to La Ponderosa, our little ranchette located in the heart of the hill country. This is where you come to relax and get away from the city lights. You can enjoy nights of star gazing along with spectacular sunrises and sunsets while listening to the peaceful sounds of nature surrounded by the large Live Oaks. Only a few minutes away from downtown Lampasas where you can find antiques, groceries and many home cooked meals. Less than four miles away from two award winning Texas wineries. The space Come enjoy this country secret for a weekend, share some wine from the 2 local wineries or hike any of the 3 nearby state parks with a fourth state park coming soon. Post Oak State Park is currently being built and is less than 10 minutes away. There is also mountain biking nearby at Spider Mountain. The bathroom comes complete with all the toiletries you need. The cabin is very unique with all of the rustic wood from the squeaky floor to ceiling. It also boasts custom handmade coffee cups, and the kitchenette is well stocked. Spend your time outside counting stars and making wishes. Starting June 1st, 2026, we will be adding another element to our cabins. We aim to nourish our hikers before they set out to explore the state park trails. We will include a package of breakfast sausage links, english muffins, butter, our farm raised fresh eggs and orange juice. Guest access The immediate space around the cabin is yours to enjoy. The fire pit is shared with the other cabin and a great place to make new friends.
