Description
Giagia's (Grandma's) little traditional home, lovingly restored & renovated retaining many original features such as the "musandra" or platform bed. Lotza subtly reveals the ways of the past while offering the comforts of today. Set in the oldest part of the mountain village of Salakos, in a quaint narrow street of traditional homes, just off the original square. Only a minutes stroll to the picturesque main square with tavernas & shops surrounded by stunning countryside, mountain and sea views The space Lotza is a traditional two-roomed house set in the beautiful mountain village of Salakos, which has been restored with great love. Kristi's husband, Georgios, inherited the house from his grandmother, and as Kristi's grandmother lived next door, both Kristi and Georgios have happy childhood memories of visiting both houses, playing outside in the street with the other children of the neighbourhood while donkeys and goats roamed, and their Giagia's sat outside their houses sharing the village gossip. Today, Lotza is a beautiful modern village home, tastefully finished to the highest standards. There is a fully equipped kitchen, dining and seating area with a double bed on the "musandra" - the local name for the traditional raised platform bed space. A separate double bedroom with a stone bed frame and its own tea and coffee making facilities is separated from the main living area by the spacious bathroom which has a shower. The sofa can be used as a double sofa bed and there is a further sleeping space under the "musandra" which could be ideal for children. A little outdoor space with a table and chairs is ideal for enjoying a coffee in the morning sun while watching the village life of Salakos. The village square, and breathtaking sea and mountain views are only a short stroll away. Guest access Lotza Traditional House is set in a traditional narrow street only a minute from Salakos village square, with ample free parking nearby. Registration Details 00002565585
