This sweet little beach bungalow is located 4 blocks from the beach! It's full of natural light and a relaxing sea breeze. Charming, beachy, bohemian, old-school Corona del Mar vibes. Friendly neighbors. Incredible sunsets. Private outdoor deck. Full kitchen. Cozy couches. Walking distance to the beach, grocery stores, local pizza & taco shops, fine dining, and farmer's market. Awesome shopping on PCH, Fashion Island & Laguna Beach. Great place to retreat, get work done, or be inspired. This space is recently renovated with new furniture and appliances. Fast wifi. Portable a/c and space heaters. Extra-comfy king-size bed in the bedroom, with 2 twin-size memory-foam floor mattresses if needed. And way too many pillows. Very small shower, with the most luxurious water pressure. I provide the essentials: coffee, creamer, sugar, hot cocoa, microwave popcorn, and filtered water. There are linens and toiletries provided in the bathroom, along with a hairdryer and curling iron. And some of the items you'll need for a fun beach day: beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, and beach umbrella. Note: No kids allowed. Your own private entrance is located at the back of the house, on the Goldenrod/Heliotrope Alleyway. Walk up the white stairs and you'll see your house, unit A, upstairs. For owner privacy and safety, the front house entrance is not available for guest use. Thanks!! **Please note, the alleyway is very dark at night. Be prepared to use a flashlight at night. Best block in downtown CdM. Gorgeous and peaceful palm tree-lined cul-de-sac neighborhood on Goldenrod Ave, located 4 houses up from the Goldenrod Footbridge. Warm and friendly vibe. Walk 3 blocks to Starbucks and other cafes, coffee shops, and world-class cuisine. Very walkable location, no rental car necessary. Uber/Lyft is all you need. 1 mile to Fashion Island and Newport Center. 6 miles to Laguna Beach. Great hiking trails within walking distance. Please kindly note: 1) No events or parties of any kind. 2) No visitors are allowed on the property. Not even Aunt Karen : ) 3) NO SMOKING on/near the property, including cannabis, cigarettes, cigars. 4) No children under 6 years old (for safety reasons). 5) No pets allowed. 6) Quiet hours 10 pm to 7 am. 7) Please be aware that this beach house can get hot during July-Sept, even with the A/C. There is a lovely fresh ocean breeze, but it doesn't get arctic cold indoors ; ) THERE IS A POTENTIAL TO HEAR NOISE IN THIS BEACH HOUSE. Kindly note: You may hear some construction noise in the alley, as this unit is in the back of the house. Neighborhood quiet hours begin at 10 pm and everyone is very respectful of this rule. At any rate, I provide a white noise machine, and fans to allow for a peaceful night/morning of sleep ; ) This is a darling old cottage! I like to call it *vintage* because it maintains all the charm of a midcentury beach bungalow (before CdM became what it is today). It was built by my grandparents 80 years ago! They were Newport Beach OGs. My family cares about this home very much, and I've been put in charge of caring for it for future generations. For this reason, we want to make sure this is the right place for you. Please read this before you book your stay. 1) this is not a brand new modern building with all the latest upgrades, 2) if you're used to staying in hotels/resorts, you may not like the Airbnb route, 3) we are in a neighborhood where the houses are built close together, 4) we don't allow smoking anywhere near our property 5) it is dark here at night, especially in the alley; CdM does not provide streetlights or alley lights because they want to discourage any "nightlife" in the neighborhoods, 6) If you're a very light sleeper, you may want to bring earplugs, 7) if you need a quiet, secluded place, this may not be right for you, 8) you will need to walk through an alley to get to your house, 9) this is not a wheelchair-accessible unit, 10) you will park on the street, not at our property 11) we do not have central a/c or heating, If you would enjoy staying in a sweet little vintage cottage by the sea, and you want to care for it like a member of our family, you are our dream guest!
