Residence A at Gum Store Studios

Enjoy our private & cozy one bedroom studio retreat nestled creekside in the heart of White Sulphur Springs. Located upstairs in Gum Store Studios (a home for Art & Soul), this newly built space in an artfully rehabilitated building is the perfect mix of comfort and history. Traveling with friends and need a second bedroom or just don't like occasional neighbors? Residence B shares the entry deck and is available individually or combined as a 2 bedroom/bathroom. The space Located off Main Street on Dry Creek Road, the Residences are located upstairs in the GUM STORE STUDIOS building. Our historic building was built in the late 1920's for the Gum Department Store which was operational until the late 1970s. One side housed the Gum family, the other housed the general store. During its heyday, everything from meat & eggs to school clothes could be bought from Mr. Gum. Renovations started in 2020 and are continuous. In addition to Residences A & B, our building houses several working artists and healing arts studios. Within walking distance of the Amtrak station and the Greenbrier, we're just a short drive to fishing, hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, and exploring natures playground. Guest access Parking is across the street from the entry at the HOLLERWOOD sign. The Residences share the left deck as entry: access is up the stairs to the deck, you are in RESIDENCE A. Relax on the deck creekside or feel free to access the Adirondack chairs in the yard. Other things to note The apartment does NOT have handicapped access. There are stairs to get to the deck & entrance. Also note there is NOT a full-size kitchen, but there is a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker.
